Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted May 13, 2004 This looks like a pretty good card. I'm highly interested in team Japan. Could be one of the better shows in a while...
Astro101 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Some nice matches scheduled...I think they're doing better promoting the X cup now instead of just throwing two teams and expecting people to watch. There's actually been some sort of buildup that would get the fans to care to see who's actually wresting.
Guest Donners Report post Posted May 15, 2004 I'd like to see D'Amore finally step into the ring in TNA, having heard a bit about his BCW work, but the idea of Lynn leaving Team NWA is an interesting one from a storyline perspective.

Tune in this Wednesday night for this first-time World Title match in TNA! This could be interesting. Prediction: JJ takes Harris out backstage, takes his spot in this, and wins the title by pinning someone other than AJ. This would set up 2 future matches, and put the title back on Jeff, where we all know it's going anyway. BUNKHOUSE MATCH "THE AMERICAN DREAM" DUSTY RHODES AND JAMES STORM VS. NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS KID KASH AND DALLAS The American Dream returned to TNA on a mission on Wednesday night, joining forces with James Storm to counter the attack of Kid Kash and Dallas. This looks terrible. BEST OF THREE SERIES: FINAL MATCH TO DETERMINE WHO CHALLENGES FOR THE X CHAMPIONSHIP THE AMAZING RED VS. This Wednesday night on Pay-Per-View will be the third and final determining bout between the two X division superstars to determine who goes on to face X Champ Frankie "The Future" Kazarian! Not surprisingly, these matches have all been letdowns, mainly because Red is about 60%, at BEST. Hopefully they bust some nice stuff for their third and final match together. I expect Red to win and get a shot. When does Sabin get his return shot? WORLD X CUP PREVIEW TEAM JAPAN VS. TEAM MEXICO The recent World X Cup matches have been nothing short of spectacular, and this Wednesday night the battles continue leading up to the May 26 mega-event on Pay-Per-View! This Wednesday night, defending Americas X Cup Champions Team Mexico from the AAA promotion will face Team Japan in yet another high-flying spectacular! The question is, can Team Mexico rebound from their recent defeats going into the World X Cup? All depends on who Team Japan is. Should be anywhere from decent to good. I like Rude, Lynn sucks, so we'll see how this one turns out. It's been months since Lynn has had a good singles match.

Tune in this Wednesday night for this first-time World Title match in TNA! Remember how annoyed people were at JJ being the focus too much --- Russo has now replaced him. This match COULD be decent --- but it reeks of a way to get JJ in the match to beat an "exhausted" AJ Styles. I could actually see Truth being the guy who gets eliminated before the match. Kid Kash SHOULD BE FRIGGIN' MAIN EVENTING HERE! Arrgghhh! The best heel - BY FAR --- that they have and he's being forced to work with Dusty Rhodes and the weak link of AMW? It won't be good, and since it's non-title, no way Dusty won't win. TNA --- most likely --- has had to ask the X guys to tone it down big-time because, while it is fun when they go all out, it does lead to injuries and that screws up booking. I've not seen anything great out of Sonjay in his TNA stint to date and I don't expect this to be a "blow you off your feet" match. I actually see Dutt going over, because I don't think they want Kazarian to job the belt and they don't want to sacrifice Red to him right now. WORLD X CUP PREVIEW TEAM JAPAN VS. It would make SENSE for Lynn to go over here --- but I fear a Russo desire to swerve people and Lynn jobbing and losing the captain position. I don't know who'd replace him (if they do Michael Shane, I shall weep), but I got a vibe here. -=Mike

His wrestling ability is backyard level. Sure he's fun in short little matches, but he gets beyond exposed in long matches. I'd rather him not be on TV at all. If they want a good main event heel with size, Adam Pearce is right there.

If they want a good main event heel with size, Adam Pearce is right there. Honestly, his offense, I think, looks better than Jarrett's. And he has the heat that Jeff just doesn't. His offense isn't Benoit-level --- but it's better than the mid-card-level stuff that defines Jarrett's offense. -=Mike
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2004 Yeah, I have to agree with Mike here. Kash has been in some fun matches in TNA, and while not a stellar wrestler, he has the heel stick down enough to make the matches interesting. He pulls off his moves usually very crisp, and the MoneyMaker is still a SICK looking move, regardless of who he does it to. Besides...look at the roster. Who DOES have an offense that doesn't consist of either generic moves for their style, few moves, or just make their moves look like shit? Seriously. It seems that TNA is limiting the quality of matches even more than WWE has in the past few years.
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted May 15, 2004 Idea: What if Lynn loses and they bring in Low Ki as the new member? XXX was part of the original America's X cup storyline, so this could be the pay off. Maybe Frankie could cost Lynn the match?

The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2004 On the Kid Kash topic...I've actually started to come around a bit to digging his offense. The problems come when he starts blowing spots...but there was a tag match on Xplosion last week...and Kash was just awesome. He is a really good heel. The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2004 ...XXX was an angle in the original X-Cup? Yes. There was criticism leveled at Lynn for picking Sonjay Dutt to be on the team instead of a more established guy. Elix even said in a promo that night that he wonders if things would have gone differently had his XXX buddies been there.
