Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted May 20, 2004 No site I know of has that kind of stats. You have to basically watch a pitcher perform and know which is which. A pitcher that delivers straight over the top is an Overhand release(like Roger Clemens) A pitcher that throws the ball at an angle over the top is a 3/4s delivery (Pedro Martinez) A pitcher that throws it at the side is a side armer One that throws from underneathe is a sub marine style
Guest Evolution Report post Posted May 20, 2004 Huh. I always thought the sidearm and submarine styles were the same thing. In that case, who are two pitchers with a sidearm or submarine style, so I can see the difference?

A pitcher throws the ball at a 3 o'clock angle. I'm not sure of a specific example. Byung Hyun Kim throws somewhere around this angle, perhaps a little lower. A submariner throws underhanded. Chad Bradford exemplifies this type of pitcher. He throws so low at times that his knuckles will scrape the ground on a pitch.
