Heat Results

Plus post-RAW notes....

Thanks to 411 reader Chris Duncan for sending in this report.

Raw was fun as hell. A good chunk of the top part of the arena was covered up as no one bought the seats. The roof came unglued when the Rock came out as no one expected it. Great markout moment. Eugene was really over and it was loud as hell during the great segment. Kane drew a lot of pops. Lots of WHOOs before the entire show and during Raw. Flair is still the man people.

Dark Match

Carly Colon def. Ricky Reyes with a rollup and a handful of tights. Reyes is a local San Diegan and the match was solid. Colon drew nice heat.

Sunday Night Heat Taping

Rhyno def. Steven Richards with the Gore. Rhyno was really over with the crowd.

La Resistance def. Aaron Aguilera and Steve Wicks (can't remember if that was his name) with their double team move (drawing a blank on the name of it sorry). Wicks or Hicks or whatever his name was looked like a shorter version of Greg Valentine! Funny as the jobbers came out, crowd chanted "You Suck!" at them and people yelled out "Who are you!?" "Do I know you?!" Funny stuff.

Garrison Cade def. Hurricane with his top rope elbowdrop. No Rosey at ringside. Match as solid.

Post-RAW Notes

After Raw went off the air, Triple H stood in the ring pissed off about HBK and losing the battle royal. Lillian Garcia decided to remind everyone (especially HHH) the winner of the battle royal. She announced it and Triple H got ticked off and went after Lillian. He grabbed her, but Lillian ran off to the dressing room. Triple H got on the mic. and went off on San Diego. Calling us all beaners and insulting Mexicans, etc. He then ran down HBK and said he signed his death warrant with the interference. He then ran down Benoit and called him out. Benoit came out and the two exchanged words. Both went at it and Benoit nailed HHH with the 3 german suplexes, swandive headbutt, and then HHH tapped out to the Crippler Crossface. Crowd went nuts! Benoit then got on the mic. as HHH retreated up the ramp and said HHH had officially joined the new "You Tapped Out Club."

Great show and a lot better than the last Raw that came here.

Can WWE make up their minds about Rhyno being a face or a heel? One week he's a face (vs. Rob Conway), the next week he's a heel (vs. Val Venis), and then he switches again. Not that I care about him, but it's really strange.

Guest TigerDriver91

Wasn't Joshi wrestler Takako Inoue supposed to work a dark match last night?

Right now I think Rhyno is stuck in the little known, seldom used status of "Tweener"

Val Venis was a heel last time I checked.

He hasn't been heel since the Chief Morley days

Venis and Storm wrestled as heels against the Dudleys on Heat the week before Wrestlemania. Venis, Storm, Stevie, and Rhyno switch back and forth depending on their opponent and whether or not the WWE need a face or heel jobber.

Dudleys vs. Venis / Storm was face vs. face (Venis and Storm did play the heels in the match by default)...I haven't seen Venis blatantly be a heel in the past year.

Richards and Rhyno are the only ones that confuse me with their status

Holy crap, great to see Havana Pitbull Ricky Reyes getting a dark match. Not like they'd ever hire him though.

Also good to see Hardkore Kidd and I think maybe Chad Wicks(?) getting TV matches. I guess the Inoki Dojo is paying off... just too bad the moron fans don't know who they are.

Why should they be expected to?

Neither man has ever appeared on WWE television, which is the only source of wrestling for many people.
