CanadianChris Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 "Wild Thing" for Ricky Vaughn remains the standard.
Fökai Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 Didn't/doesn't someone come out to "Closing Time" by Semisonic?
Guest FrigidSoul Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 Keith Foulke has no song he comes out to. He does go about blowing snot rockets on the mound though. With Rob Dibble's new Metrosexual look, if he ever came out of retirement and played in a senior league as a closer his song should be "Its Raining Men".
Brett Favre Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 Screw Billy Wagner, the real "Enter Sandman" by Metallica is Mariano Rivera.
Guest Choken One Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 I've seen Graves enter to "Wolfpac Theme" and "Time to Play"... He and Casey are big fans of WWE and often use Wrestling themes.
Brett Favre Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 I've seen Graves enter to "Wolfpac Theme" and "Time to Play"... He and Casey are big fans of WWE and often use Wrestling themes. Jason Giambi also used to come out to the Wolfpac Theme.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 Trot Nixon comes out to "The Game" by MotorHead; Triple H's theme
Guest Choken One Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 yep...wrestling themes are quite popular for obvious reasons (music with the same intent)...
geniusMoment Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 Danny Graves is an old college buddy of the Rock, they both went to Miami. Whenever the rock would come to town he and Danny would go out.
sfaJack Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 Screw Billy Wagner, the real "Enter Sandman" by Metallica is Mariano Rivera. I think Wagner's been using that since '96 or '97, so unless Rivera's use of it dates back that far (wasn't the closer in '96, IIRC), screw Mariano Rivera.
Slayer Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 John Rocker used to use "I Wanna Rock" before the stupid shit hit the fan

Guest Anglesault Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 John Rocker used to use "I Wanna Rock" before the stupid shit hit the fan John Rocker is actually a pretty nice guy.
DerangedHermit Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 yep...wrestling themes are quite popular for obvious reasons (music with the same intent)... Two players on the LI Ducks (independent minor league team -- Carlos Baerga played for them before making a comeback) had Bret Hart's theme. I was marking out when I heard that.
Vern Gagne Posted May 19, 2004 Report Posted May 19, 2004 All these songs are dull and predictable. Someone needs to come out to something like "I did it my way" by Sinatra.
The Mandarin Posted May 19, 2004 Report Posted May 19, 2004 John Rocker used to use "I Wanna Rock" before the stupid shit hit the fan John Rocker is actually a pretty nice guy. He is a saint compared to David Wells.
Steve J. Rogers Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 How about this, it may be the first ever documented "Closer Tneme" but Sparky Lyle of the Yankees used to come from the bullpen to the playing of "Pomp and Circumstance" Also John Franco uses the old Chuck Berry song "Johnny B. Goode" which may be the oldest song still in current usage amongst ANY closer/batter themes Actually true story, first time out the Mets played the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson when Franco pitched, Franco HATED it and told them to use Johnny B Goode Steve
