NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2004 At first I thought it was a one-time thing for the Liddell/Ortiz fight, but that same billboard now has the Shamrock/Kimo ad plastered on. It is right by my school, so everynight when I drive home I see it......IMO it is a shitty location, would be nice to see it closer to the sportsbars, but oh well I guess they were satissfied with the result last time. Scroby 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2004 I don't get crap out here in the Bay Area of California. I only get WWE on tv, recently I found out I can watch K-1 but thats because ESPN shows it, thats the only reason why. I'll be able to watch NWA:TNA when it starts showing on FSN but anything else, I either have to go out of town to see it or wait till it comes out on Video/dvd. Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2004 There's no billboards around here, but MMA is illegal in Canada. I guess not enough people have died while fighting.

They can't control the fact that we can watch it on TV, but last I remember mixed martial arts competition is banned in Canada. There are ways around it with loopholes and technicalities and such, but yes, banned for the most part. If it weren't you would have probably seen a UFC in Canada by now. Hell, a lot of states still ban MMA, which is why the UFC has to go to Las Vegas and Conneticut and places like that so much.
