The Mysterious One's Take On...Anglesault

 

 

Recently The Mysterious One has lacked the fire and passion that he once had. Well no longer. Today I present to you a back the basics version of myself, The Mysterious One. No more will I just be a mouthpiece for board trends and the like. I will once again call it as I see it. I will bring to your attention the worst of the worst, the dumbest of the dumbest, etc.

 

The obvious choice for the worst and dumbest would of course be...Anglesault. Anglesault registered at The Smart Marks on January 31st 2002. He had been a long time poster at the old "The Smarks" message board and already had a reputation as a poster who rabidly supported Kurt Angle to the point of an obsession, often ignoring others arguments and harping on one or two minor issues with a character.

 

He had also joined World Domination Inc. were he quickly became the most hated poster and was banned. Anglesault made numerous attempts to sneak back in but was always rebanned. He had angered everyone at WDI by his harsh criticism of Eddie G. and his drug problems. He consistently went out of his way to bait one poster known as LWO Kid, known today as Banky/Memoirs of Chevy.

 

At TSM Anglesault quickly gained popularity with his hatred of HHH and his tendency to make one liner jokes at the expense of WWE Wrestlers. Anglesault, along with such posters as Cobainwasmurdered, Goodhelmet, Tony149 quickly gained reputations as "Post Whores" Anglesault and CWM were perhaps the worse of those mentioned. CWM and AS were buddies for a long time. Whenever WDI posters would insult AS, CWM would be quick to defend him. Eventually CWM would create The One And Only AngleSault Thread. The thread would quickly take off and the two would go on to help "book" the emerging efed.

 

Around this time CWM and a few other posters "Invaded" WDI after Anglesault had told them about his unfair banning. CWM would be made a complete fool of and be banned at WDI. However WDI posters such as Sassqcuatch would befriend CWM and he soon realized what a faggot he was being. CWM started to look at Anglesault with different eyes and saw how pathetic and childish he was.

 

This was a man who claimed to be 25 who would constantly bitch and moan about how horrible Kurt Angle was being treated, never mind the fact that no wrestler had ever been so successful so soon after starting his career. He would constantly harp about how awful Test and Edge were as wrestlers. That's not such a horrible thing but every post he made was about it. Anglesault is now near to 20,000 posts, more than any other TSM poster and he's still bitching and moaning about things.

 

Let's look at a recent thread started by Anglesault: My One Problem With Eugene

 

The "man" is complaining about someone wearing a jacket inside out. This is the one flaw he can find with a mentally handicapped wrestling savant? Am I alone in thinking this is more Anal than a weekend with Popick and his college professors?

 

I could go through the archives of TSM and find dozens and dozens of threads and posts where Anglesault acts like a total moron but I don't need too. Everyone knows what he's like. We've all made the jokes about him; we've all taken bets about how long it will be until he gets banned.

 

Frankly it's not soon enough. Then let's ban Popick, IB, and CWM.

A question and two observations before I give my stance.

 

Question: Is WDI the board with the skin that burns my eyes? The one that Dutch runs and I believe Hoff has a hand in running it as well?

 

Observation 1:I can't see Will being a post whore. It just doesn't fit. I mean from what I've seen of his posts each one is usually extremely long, and for him to post whore he would literally have to spend about 10 hours a day posting with his posting style.

 

Observation 2: Canadian Chick is a pretty gal who's knowledgable on the wrestling front along with being just a real nice person, and she's over 17 now...still, AngleSault shouldn't flirt with her because he could piss her off with his presense and lead her to take it out on the rest of us.

 

That being said I kind of pity AngleSault. I don't think he realises how much he just annoys everybody and adds nothing to a conversation. As Will said, any wrestling topic AngleSault posts in tends to end up with him complaining about the latest thing that irks him, regardless of the subject. I've seen many threads which had potential to be good conversation turn into a flame war because Anglesault brought his "Hated Flavor of the Month" into it and if people didn't agree then they were automatically branded idiots for having a different opinion than his own.

 

In the sports folder he annoys everybody. A topic on a possible 3 team trade turned into him calling men with long hair and facial hair "classless", "bums", and "bag boys". Forget the fact it had nothing to do with the subject but he shows he's a bigot right there. Along with posts like that and millions of topics complaining about the Yankees, I'm starting to find the Sports forum is alot more fun during football season. Main reason being, he doesn't appear to be a football fan so he's often not around.

 

In closing its the internet so I don't hate the guy personally. However I do think he brings the board's level of conversation down and is a giant hinderence. Banning him would be best for the board, but at the same time he's so set in his ways he would never figure out the reasoning behind the banning.

Will was one of the co founders of the OAOAST. He and I use to post constantly in the Word Association thread. He's drastically changed his style of posting but at one time he was just as much a Post Whore as I was.
