Guest BDC Report post Posted May 20, 2004 http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,120424,00.html So, apparently now they want the words "sexually explicit" in the subject line and no graphics in the opening body of the email. So, is this still a violation or is it a measure to prevent unwanted messages and images?
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted May 20, 2004 It's going to get deleted either way..it's not hard to tell what's porn and what's not. A plethora of programs are available for parents who are too lazy to monitor what their child does on the internet, so the kid excuse is out. I think a law detailing what messages like that can and cannot say would be totally unnecessary.

A plethora of programs are available for parents who are too lazy to monitor what their child does on the internet, so the kid excuse is out. I think a law detailing what messages like that can and cannot say would be totally unnecessary. All my porn spam is just amazing though. They have "aol' in their name and say something like "credit card declined, please pay account balance" in the subject line. Then I open it and its all Titty. kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2004 I don't know -- some of those spam ads are pretty sneaky. For example, "Wet Wendy" sent me a message the other day saying that "I need to see this." How was I supposed to know there would be a naked chick in that e-mail?... nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2004 I work for a major high-tech global company, and we got a porn spam email sent to the world-wide distribution list a few months back, that only had two actual names cc'ed on it: two women executives that everyone knows. I saved the text from the email, and will copy it below: Many of us need your assistance Hi, I'm Miranda, maybe you can help me out! I am an isolated 25 year old lonely, but sexy housewife. I work out regularly and am 5'6", 110 lbs, and a lucious blonde! I really enjoy lovemaking and want it all the time. However, My husband's business requires that he travels just about every week. He is not home often enough to satisfy my very high sex drive! Once or twice a month is just NOT enough for me...I need it alot more than that! A few months ago, a girlfriend of mine showed me this website called FHW, that was created by women just like myself who needed more! It seems there are alot of lonely married women looking for horny and very "discreet" boyfriends on the side to help them stay satisfied. We all just decided to do something about it! If you are looking for safe, discreet, erotic experiences with no commitments, come to our site! You can see my ad and thousands of others too! That neighborhood hottie down the street just might be waiting for you to call or email her! Who knows, you could be be having the time of your life tonight! Believe me, these women know what sexuality is all about! Go see for yourself at- Needless to say, it's been the running joke in the US office for months now. Anytime I get pissed at either executive, I just re-read that email and laugh my ass off.

Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted May 20, 2004 I just wish they could consolidate all my spam into one really long e-mail about how i can "enlarge my penis and get the effects of viagra so i can check out wet teens"
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2004 I've started getting spam for Turkey Fetish....I have no idea what that is and honestly I don't want to ever find out. Is that anything like Goat Play? I'm afraid to know. It's bad enough getting the Horse spam, but god knows what I'd see if I clicked on that Turkey spam. Some things just make you want to forfeit humanity the moment you see them and this feels like one of those things. As for this being a violation issue; not really. They aren't banning the porn spam, they are making them put warnings and such on them. Like putting those dark covers over porn mags.

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2004 In all seriousness, this isn't going to stop the people in say, Russia who could care less that they are supposed to put "sexually explicit" in the title line because the fines and penalties don't apply outside the U.S. and it wouldn't be worth the time or effort to hunt them down.
