I would like to know can you use the analog controller for this game?

You can use the controller that comes with your system, yes. And you can use the D-Pad. You MIGHT be able to sue the Analog Stick, whether you play on PS2 or Xbox, but by using the stick, you WILL get your ass kicked. The stick doesn't have the precise 8 way movement you need in a fighting game.
