Guest combat_rock Report post Posted July 3, 2004 Swagger by Flogging Molly Flogging Molly is one of the bands at the forefront of the Celt-punk scene, but really, this album is more "traditional" than most of their peer's stuff. In fact, the only thing that really sells it as punk is the tempo at which most of the music is played, and Dave King's gritty yet graceful vocals. Still, it will get you pretty amped up. Punk tradionalists my prefer their second album, "Drunken Lullabies", but I think overall "Swagger" is much better.
jimmy no nose 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2004 Isabelles Gift-Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms Leaders of the current Redneckdevilmusic revolution, Isabelle's Gift's follow up to 1997's Soundtrack to Domestic Violence-- the appropriately named Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, bulldozes through eleven monster tunes the band wrote and performed while under the influence of anything they could get their hands on. Although it has sold only about 15 copies outside of their home state of South Carolina, Isabelle's Gift were able to use this album to land a major label deal for their soon to be released 2004 follow up American Idle. Guest DeathBecomesYou Report post Posted July 3, 2004 Thin Lizzy "Live And Dangerous", it's sad that when people talk about cool bands from the 70's, everyone says Kiss, or Aerosmith or Sabbath, yet Lizzy are mostly forgotten, even though they rock harder than just about any band before or since. Guest DeathBecomesYou Report post Posted July 3, 2004 Live and Dangerous is one of the best live albums ever. Indeed and Phil Lynott is arguably the greatest frontman ever, shame he died so young.
