Guest Corey291 Report post Posted June 9, 2004 The great thing about ECW back in 1993-1995, when it was still "That upstart indy-fed", was that virtually every ECW arena show had at least one moment that was memorable. The WWF and WCW were so terrible at the time, that it was the perfect time for ECW to take the stage. If it weren't for ECW and Smoky Mountain Wrestling, I'd have stopped watching altogether. With that said: 1. The Sea of Chairs that got thrown in the ring on top of Public Enemy during their match with Cactus Jack and Terry Funk 2. Shane Douglas winning and then trashing the NWA Title, thus changing Eastern Championship Wrestling to EXTREME Championship Wrestling. 3. Public Enemy's farewell match and celebration at House Party '96 4. The Gangstas finally winning the ECW Tag Titles in a fantastic 4 way match with the Eliminators, Bruise Brothers and the Samoan Gangsta Party. -Corey
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2004 I was doing some searching and found this thread, and thought it was worth bringing back for a bit. And as far as the Dreamer winning the title thing, I remember seeing clips on the TNN show, with Dreamer saying "I may not ever make it to Wrestlemania, and I'll sure as hell never be at Starcade, but I can finally say I was ECW world heavyweight champion!" Then Credible attacks, and Dreamer is all "RING THE FUCKING BELL!" and promptly loses the strap.
