Guest SP-1 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 I did a search and didn't find any other threads on this particular subject. Are there any programs out there that can dig deleted files back out after they've been deleted from the Bin?
Ripper 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Yes but here is the tricky part. Here is the program, http://www.pcinspector.de/file_recovery/UK/welcome.htm but he problem is you have to download it. The file you deleted is still sorta there until the computer uses those bytes of memory for something else so its kinda floating out there. By downloading the program to recover it, you are taking the chance of REALLY deleting that fucker. Tis a bitch.

Guest Cerebus Report post Posted June 5, 2004 This isn't really on topic and I don't know if you know this Ripper but do the police basically use a more sophisticated version of this program when checking captured hard drives?
caboose 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2004 If you've got Windows XP, you can also try System Restore, but I'm not too sure about that.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2004 If I am thinking correctly, when you "delete" a file from your harddrive, you are basically just OK-ing the hard drive to write over said file, so until that file is written over, it is still there, just waiting for something to be imprinted on top of it, at which then it will finally be gone for good. But I am not ABSOLUTELY sure about this.
Internet Warfare 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2004 My brother used to use system restore. It recovers everything you deleted, I think.
