NBA Mock Draft

Maybe No. 9 is a bit high, and maybe I'm overrating Jameer Nelson, but it'd be cool if the 76ers took him. Eric Snow's getting pretty old, right?

Josh Childress to Washington looks exactly like Jared Jeffries to Washington a few years ago. In fact, we should check and make sure they're not the same guy.

Utah has three first rounders. I hope they don't screw that up like the Celtics did a few years ago (Joe Forte, Kedrick Brown, Joe Johnson).

Pavel Podkolzine is in no way going to slip to 13.

And every keeps thinking that the suns are going to take Ben Gordon. Its not going to happen. They drafted a promising point in Barosa who showed flashes of greatness last year, Milos Vujanic's contract could very well be cleared up this year and allow him to play, and he is hyped to be the best point in Europe, AND they are making apush for Steve Nash.

If anything the Suns will Take Pavel just because he is 7'5" 300lbs and can walk and chew gum at the same time if he isn't taken by Charlotte or Washington first(one of them is going to take Martynas Andriuskevicius and the other will take Pavel sez I)

Hopefully the Jazz won't blow it.

If they are lucky enough that Pavel is still available, they should get him. Having a big center is a prerequisite in the Western Conference.

Hypothetical:

Two players. They play the same position, a position your team needs. You haven't actually seen either one of them play, but you're hearing good things about both. Now, would you be happier to hear that your team took Player A; a American-born high schooler, or Player B; a European guy?

Isn't the "safe" bet going to be an experienced college player? Euros and high schoolers are bigger risks.

Depends on the player. Europeans have generally played against stronger competition. But the original question didn't include college players, so its no contest between the other two.

I want the Celts to grab Al Jefferson.

How did Delonte West and Jamar Smith's stock drop so fast?

I'd go with the Euro player. Their games are usually more complete and they seem more mature than high school kids, who just want to show off and be famous. I'm not saying that guys like Kobe and Garnett are passable, but as it becomes more common that there are direct from high schoolers in the NBA, less talented ones will come in to the league.

Well, the good news is this Pavel guy isn't a 7+ foot walking bean pole like Gheorge Muresan.

I really don't know for sure were Utah goes in hte draft, my guess is to stockpile role players like Memphis did last year in the first round. And I am sure they will pick up another seven foot slug like Harrison of Colorado.

Indy might as well trade their picks, it's just going to be guys who languish on the IR for 3 or 4 years, like Brewer and Brezec, and then are out of the league.

EDIT: Then again, had I bothered to care about the draft last year (we traded our first-rounder to the Hawks when we got Tinsley), I probably would have thought the same about Josh Howard too.
