The other contestants sat on stage and just swayed their heads back and forth to the song they chose, while I did my best attempt at a Moonwalk, grabbed my nuts, and also did a somersault or two. I didn't get video games or any of that bullshit until I was at least 10 or 11. Never even saw cable TV until around that age. When I was a kid, I played outside. There was a bad drought in 88. Musically speaking, I picked only the coolest stuff from my dad's record collection. I too played outside as a youth though...my parents couldn't afford to get me all the Ninja Turtles at once so I used my imagination to pretend they had been split up and were searching for one another. When I got a new one I would have the ones I already owned find him in a new location of my backyard.
