alfdogg 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2004 It's funny...everytime I go to a friend's house to borrow a CD, he has them strewed all over his carpet, which smells like either cigarettes or cat/dog piss. Yet, I pop it in my CD player and it works just fine. But I keep all my CDs in sleeves and cases all the time, and those cocksuckers skip all over the goddamn place. What the fuck is going on. Guest Choken One Report post Posted June 7, 2004 I've always lived by the code that trying to protect and perserve something is bullshit. The cd's that skip for me tend to be the ones i have in those cd cases...and yet the old ones that i have laying around the tables in my den are just fine. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted June 7, 2004 I've heard that the cloth they use for cd cases and all those actually can damage that disc since they have all those ripples and whatnot and when you slide a CD out it kinda rubs the surface. That might not be true however, but it would explain why things happen like that.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted June 7, 2004 makes sense to me...
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2004 Even the plastic CD cases can be dangerous, since the bottom side of the CD practically touches the bottom part of the tray.

Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2004 lick (yes i said LICK) the back of the CD and then wipe it off, works almost everytime...
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted June 8, 2004 Yeah, that happens with me sometimes too. DVDs and CDs are in impeccable condition - I won't list my anal retentive care tips, but if they're in the case, they're in their player, playing - yet my No Way Out '03 DVD skipped a bit the other day when badly-treated discs by other people seem to be fine unless scratched to shit. Dunno what the go is there, maybe something about wearing them in.

Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted June 11, 2004 Knowing that I had actually put my fucking tongue on the disc is enough to warrant an ejection from the collection. Beau - spelling "disc" and "disk" the wrong ways since 1989.
