Benoit and Edge will lose their match with La Resistance due to some sort of miscommunication (or if they want to be cool, something similar to Harts/Quebecers at RR 94). Edge will be pissed off afterwards, turn heel and beat the shit out of Benoit, leaving his status for the Title match later in question. They tease it along with updates on his condition throughout the show, and Bischoff even threatens to award the Title to Kane via forefit if Benoit doesn't wrestle. So the Title match comes along and Benoit's music starts and after a minute or so of drama he finally appears and Kane destroys him. Then either Benoit makes the superman comeback, somehow winning clean or Matt Hardy interferes and knocks out Kane at some point (which wouldn't even come across as that cheap, given Benoit's condition). Either way, Benoit goes over, Edge is heel, and there's an instant start to the Benoit/Edge program. I don't think it's a bad idea or anything; I just think that scenario (or something similar to it) is predictable. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Everything else is pretty much spot on and wouldn't be bad at all since Benoit would have no problem pulling the convicting Bret sell. Or Matt Hardy could find out that Kane did "it" with Lita and get pissed and come down to ringside. I really don't think Matt Hardy could do enough to cost Kane the title so for Benoit to get an advantage in the match Lita would have to distract Kane. Guest Benno Report post Posted June 8, 2004 I can't see Edge turning on Benoit until after the main event... they'll likely lose the tag match thanks to a miscommunication or soemthing, and then in the main event Benoit will retain the world title, and then afterwards edge will come out and act like he wants to celebrate with benoit..and then turn on him and beat him down...show goes off the air with edge standing over a bloody benoit and huzzah, wwe has a new top heel while hhh is off making movies... Then they can job Benoit to Le Res and act like Kane actually has a legit shot at winning. Though I will be extremely pissed if Benoit loses in the tag title match then can't beat Kane cleanly. With the HIAC going on last, WWE had to do something as to not weaken Benoit and the title (especially as Benoit is only facing Kane, in an instafeud to boot) and this is perfect. ECW's Taz has done the same, I believe. Sure there's plenty of others. Benoit wrestled a bunch of times on one PPV, back at Judgment Day 2001. He had the 2 / 3 match with Angle for the medals, and then joined up with Jericho in the tag turmoil(~!) match. And the first time the World Champion is fighting for the Tag Titles in one, and defending his own in the other. Benoit = WWE's savior. Well, they had a VERY entertaining match last week, maybe it was the hot crowd, but Conway/Benoit can certainly carry the load, Edge isn't THAT bad, and if Grenier is on the apron most of the match, no complaining. Oh I forgot. Grenier is a cancer to wrestling because he was green last year, thus making him shitty for the rest of his life, Conway is another "bland OVW" wrestler, and Edge sucks. Silly me. La Resistance vs. Hurricane & Rosey was a last minute update to the card. But I doubt we'll see Val Venis. Bad Blood isn't going to be an OVW PPV. It's also not going to be held in bizzaro world so I can't see a La Res, WWE style tag match which won't be anything other than slow, partly so as not to burn out Benoit and not being held in Quebec going ***.
