TNABaddboi 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2004 NWA:TNA has made a creative decision that Frankie Kazarian will now be going by his last name "Kazarian" and Elix Skipper will be going by his nickname "Primetime" from this point on in NWA:TNA storylines. The changes were implemented this past week at the Impact! tapings. I have heard Pat Kenney will be getting a new nickname down the line as well once his storyline plays out. Management was a little unhappy with Sabu at last week's Impact! taping as he didn't arrive until 5 PM. Talent has been asked to be at Universal Studios by 1:30 PM. Sabu claimed to have flight issues, which were exacerbated by the fact that his luggage was held up at the airport (believed to be due to the spike he uses in his matches; I can only imagine the line of questioning that came about when that thing was discovered), so TNA had to scramble to find him something he could work in. Jerry Jarrett had words with Sabu about the situation, but I was told it was a situation where things were discussed more then they became a heated conversation. Speaking of Sabu, he has been very vocal with management about letting him do more within the confines of his matches and has asked the company to use him more than they have been, telling management that he wants to "Earn what he is being paid." TNA has been very happy with Sabu's work, especially since he was working hard to get Monty Brown over a few weeks back. They feel they have a good marquee feud with Raven, but want to do a slow build to it. In this case I agree with management as Sabu is a great performer but has to be spotlighted correctly to show his best side. As a way to make up for Sabu not doing interviews, Sonjay Dutt was put with him on the PPV last week and will be Sabu's mouthpiece as a way to help advance storylines in non-wrestling segments. Scheduled for this Wednesday's PPV broadcast will be 3 Live Kru vs. Jeff Jarrett's Mercenaries (we've already revealed two of the three in previous spoiler posts), AJ Styles vs. Dallas, Team NWA vs. Team Canada in a Flag Match, Sonny Siaki & Desire & Pat Kenney vs. the NYCs in an "Ultimate Humiliation" match, NWA Tag Team champions America's Most Wanted vs. Monty Brown & Abyss, and a continuation of the Sabu-Raven storyline. Hmmm....let's see. Primetime=stupid. Kazarian=stupid. Kenney getting a new nickname=wonderful I agree that they should take a slow build with Sabu/Raven. The whole Pat Kenney angle, name change, etc. has me shaking my head.(Gilberti has fallen quite a bit since the SEX angle) I'm interested in the Sabu/Raven feud, but I'm really sick of the hold up on the inevitable Raven world title reign. I agree and I wish they would tell me too. I really dig Kazarian now though and would like to see a 3 way feud for the belt with him, Styles and Kash because I don't want him to get lost in the shuffle. It would be so very uncool. razazteca 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2004 I always thought that "Primetime" should go by the name Elix and drop the last name Skipper. Primetime Elix would also work. Did Simon Diamond change his name so Kid Kash's partner can use the name Dallas? Simon Diamond was a somebody and this new wrestler using the name Dallas is well a nobody.
