Guess who's helping Moore's "film" in Lebanon

Can't say I'm surprised:

In terms of marketing the film, Front Row is getting a boost from organisations related to Hezbollah which have rung up from Lebanon to ask if there is anything they can do to support the film. And although Chacra says he and his company feel strongly that Fahrenheit is not anti-American, but anti-Bush, “we can’t go against these organisations as they could strongly boycott the film in Lebanon and Syria.” As it is too early to have materials available from the film’s sales agent Wild Bunch, its US producer Miramax or distributor Lions Gate, Front Row created a teaser poster (pictured) but declined a free set of materials from a printing press run by Pakistanis as this could be deemed as an inappropriate source - “cinemas in the UAE are often frequented by US Marines who come over from Iraq on the weekends.” Front Row, which also worked with Moore’s Bowling For Columbine, is setting a precedent with Fahrenheit as it is the first documentary ever to be released theatrically in the territory. Bowling went straight to video and had a healthy run. Indeed, Moore is, explains Chacra, “considered an Arab supporter,” locally.

Wow.

Moore's been a long-term Arab supporter, so that comment doesn't surprise me. (One of the terms on his contract for Roger And Me was that the only way it could be shown in Israel is if the Palestinians could see it whenever and whereever they wished).

However, Hezbollah supporting the movie does surprise and disgust me, as the fat fucking piece of shit who always talks about how people on the right destroy lives through commerical means (Reagan's financial policies supposedly destroying his hometown of Flint, MI, etc.) and harps on gun policiy in the US leading to deaths, I find it ironic that he'd let his film be promoted by people who have actively taken part in the killing of hundreds of US citizens.

Oh please. This is like that terrorist organization supporting Bush in the election.

It's not like Al-Queda has camps to train recruits to register voters and pass out flyers before election day.

Can I try a Mikey joke?

Ok, maybe Moore should join a Hezbollah training camp because he won't be able to complete the drills, and would probably die from exaustion...because he's FAT you see....I'm not very good at this. Quick, KKK do something amusing as I slip out the back door!
