razazteca Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 I hope they don't try to "update" any more old games. I like updated games and there are many others that do just look at the sales for the Mario Advance series. I like the updated graphics and extra features but hate it when the game play is dumbed down. I wish the "classic" series were updates rather than just the old game in a new package.
Lil' Bitch Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 For me: 1943: The Battle of Midway BATTLETOADS!!! Bomberman Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse Contra Ghosts 'n Goblins Kirby's Adventure Punch-Out!! Skate or Die Strider Super Mario Bros. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III The Legend of Zelda
DrVenkman PhD Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Bomberman already released in the current batch of NES Classic games? Edit: Yep, and some of te other games on this list too.
teke184 Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 DODGEBALL! Super Dodge Ball was one of the launch titles for the GBA... although it still isn't as much fun as the NES version.
AndrewTS Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 Oh, BTW, here's the full list of current NES Classic releases out right now: Super Mario Bros. The Legend of Zelda Donkey Kong Excitebike Ice Climber Pac-Man Xevious: The Avenger Bomberman The total Famicom Mini games currently out in Japan, not including the ones mentioned above: Mario Bros. (You probably already have this, free, and with four player mode. Pass.) Dr. Mario Balloon Fight Clu Clu Land Adventure Island Dig Dug Ganbare Goemon Ghosts 'n Gobins Mappy Star Soldier Twinbee Wrecking Crew Some of them are "meh" but several are worthwhile. If they pay attention to this poll at all, we should get Punch Out.

I like the updated graphics and extra features but hate it when the game play is dumbed down. Yeah, that's what I meant. Graphic upgrades are ok, but going from NES to SNES isn't much of a difference and like someone here said just takes away from some of the old game's charm. I'd love to see the original Zelda made 3D and put on Gamecube though, exactly the way it is.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted June 19, 2004 Report Posted June 19, 2004 If they ever release Punch Out! on GBA, I'll be jumping on that shit in half of a second.
