TheBigSwigg Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 Here's a link to the petition the TNA Street Team started. It's to get TNA on in a better time slot, maybe on F/X. Reading the signatures is half the fun... TNA Petition
Guest The Last Free Voice Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 This is dumb. The TV execs will do what they will do. I doubt they'd listen to us.
TheBigSwigg Posted June 18, 2004 Author Report Posted June 18, 2004 Whether or not they listen is not the point. That they see we care is the point. But they'll only see that if they get THOUSANDS of signatures, not hundreds. And, I just think it's amusing to read it. Did you see the Vince McMahon signature?

Heck, let's start one to get NBC to pick them up! -=Mike
TNABaddboi Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 On-line petitions NEVER fail! Heck, let's start one to get NBC to pick them up! Nobody said this would get them moved tomorrow, but it would allow for concrete evidence that there is support for such a move, which can't hurt in any way. Why not do it?

I signed the damn thing, fuck it. What can it hurt?
TNABaddboi Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 Nobody is saying it will be THE reason they get moved, if they get moved at all. But the number of signatures could be used as evidenced that a move would be support by viewers, who are, or should, the network's primary concern. And I believe the petition has been edited, because at first glance, I didn't see any errors. Maybe I missed something, I don't know.

You're starting to annoy me like Dave O'Neil used to. Why don't you get a clue? I signed the damn thing, fuck it. What can it hurt? Ah, you signed it. That's so damned adorable. Send it to FX. See if they even look at it. On-line petitions DON'T WORK. If you wish to pretend that this is not the case --- simply provide a SINGLE example of them EVER working. Just one. -=Mike
Guest Goodear Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 Lordy lordy. Look, I know Mike is a negative nelly and he's bad and evil and full of toads and such... but online petitions are just about the most worthless wastes of time that you can devote any amount of credence or importance to. Just as this thread indicates, the inclusion of joke names like Vince McMahon and no indication that you could only sign the petition once is enough to rule it pointless. If you want to support TNA, write to the network directly and be done with it.

Guest Goodear Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 I'm so much softer than you though, like a fluffy kitten. So even though we agree on this stuff 94 % of the time, I'm still as lovable as ever.

Guest Goodear Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 I think of you as wonderfully caustic... but thats not the popular interpretation.
Guest Coffey Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 Dude, I'm not just talking about this thread. It was just another example. The straw that broke the camels back for me. I'm sorry, but a mod should've really stepped in a lot sooner. You, Mike, make this folder a lot less enjoyable for me to read. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way, and someone, eventually, had to say something. Everytime I see your name as the last reply, I know it's just going to be some bullshit, negative reply. Why don't you just stay out of the folder? Seriously.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 I signed it just so I would be on the opposite side of Mike in this argument. Mike is a poo poo head.

geniusMoment Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 All right, who is the clever little devil who signed as AssCrack McGee. This is serious business and a joke like that could cause these executives to reconsider this wonderfully thought out plan. All yeah, it was me, nevermind.

That wasn't a joke.....because then it would have to be funny......thus, it's not a joke.

Guest whitemilesdavis Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 You need to start reading a lot more. And you need to learn to appreciate good comedy. Ah, just kidding. Something about the random nature of it caught me off guard. I'm actually starting to chuckle again just thinking about it.
geniusMoment Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 I do not mean to be a prickly pear, but dynamite a joke need not be funny to be a joke. Jokes bomb all the time. I am considering starting an online petition asking for a formal apology from you. If I can get enough signatures will you consider it?

geniusMoment Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 Not even if I get a middle aged business tyrant ass motherfucker to sign it.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 Not even if I get a middle aged business tyrant ass motherfucker to sign it. Mr. Zero would never go for that sort of a thing......he hates you.
geniusMoment Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 What if I bribe him with a leaf I pulled off an old oak tree from a field in southern Ohio.
Guest TDinDC1112 Posted June 19, 2004 Report Posted June 19, 2004 Hey, Bills fans got to stick together. The hell they do. I've been to every Bills home game since 1989 and I think you're an Ass Hole.

So, you're an ass with good taste in NFL teams. Kudos. Hey, to aid TNA in this effort, I grilled some steaks on the BBQ in protest of TNA not getting a prime-time spot on FX. I figured it'd be every inch as effective --- and I like steak. -=Mike
