TNABaddboi 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2004 A number of readers in the Baltimore/Washington DC area sent word that Impact! is scheduled to air tonight at midnight and not the regular 4 AM timeslot for the market, according to their local listings. I have a call into Comcast Sports to see if that timeslot change is permanent. The DC/Baltimore market has been plaqued thus far with a bad timeslot and preemptions for Baltimore Orioles games, so hopefully, this is a good sign for fans in that area. There are a lot of rumors going around about interest from the FX cable network in picking up the Impact! series, but one highly placed source in the TNA offices has told me there is no truth to the rumor. Although the match with Sonjay Dutt was booked specifically to protect Raven's broken ribs, the physicality of the match still left him in a lot of pain. He's going to have to be very careful over the next few weeks while the injury heals. Both Vince Russo and Ron Killings were sporting black eyes at the Impact! tapings. It is believed Russo may have suffered a broken nose as well from taking the guitar shot at the PPV this past Wednesday. There is a good interview with Monty Brown up on the NWATNA.com website. Brown notes that while he was a football player before he became a wrestler, he grew up loving the sport and sported posters of Nikita Koloff, Ric Flair, and Dusty Rhodes on his wall as a kid. He goes into his training, diet, and football career as well. He says his current incarnation is more along the lines of who he is as a person, in comparison to his original run with the company. NWATNA is now taking pre-orders on their AJ Styles DVD. I think it's safe to say that will be their top selling item in no time. There is not a station that has ANY hope of survival who will COMPLETELY change its view on a program based solely upon one week.
