NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2004 Why did they never feature a "cents" sign on the keyboard?
the max 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2004 Because it's pretty much useless. $10.78 doesn't require it, and to properly define cents, it's supposed to be $.50.
Guest I'm That Damn Zzzzz Report post Posted June 21, 2004 If you really want a cents sign, hold the Alt key and type 0162 on the keypad. ¢
Guest Hero to all Children Report post Posted June 25, 2004 Because the keyboard becomes increasingly more complicate with each symbol. German keyboards have four commonly used letters that US-American ones don't. (ÖÄÜß to be specific) and they also feature some lesser often used symbols. Such as § ° µ and of course the Euro symbol €. That means I have to hold down the right alt-key and hit Q to get an @. Really, it just makes things more complicated.
