Yuna_Firerose Posted June 23, 2004 Report Posted June 23, 2004 This is probably one of those retarded questions, but here goes anyway: How can you tell if your VCR/DVD combo has, or does not have, the capabilities to record VHS material onto a DVD? ..Or is that even possible? Because for my one tape - a bootleg copy of Cabaret with, yes, Alan Cumming - I know I probably couldn't get it anywhere else. It cost me $30 on eBay; not that I'm a fangirl or anything...nope. 'Course not. Anyway, I'd like to get it on DVD...and I don't have a lot of money available to me [say...less than $25?] Thus, the question.

If your combo doesn't expressly state that the DVD player is also a DVD-recordable --- then it can't do it. I've not seen a combo that can do it. -=Mike
