Dates

There are some festival dates in there and a show or shows with Soulfly

i HIGHLY recomend seeing FF live ..over my 28 yars ive seen hundreds of artists live and they would be a top 5 (if you are into the type of music obviously)

Mastodon is also great , at least on cd. and i am not into sworn enemy but have heard good things about them so i anticipate seeing them at the show

Fear Factory's a great band, although I've never seen them live. I'd go to the show in Davenport on August 13th, but just my luck, I'm seeing Slayer, Slipknot, and God Forbid that night...

Mastodon's sick, and Sworn Enemy's a quintessential ignorable metal show opener. I saw Fear Factory once before I got into heavier fare, and they had a lot of energy onstage. I don't really care for anything recent, but I liked most of their debut. I'll probably check this out in Detroit if I'm not doing anything else constructive.

Fear Factory is alright. I've heard a few of their songs throughout the years, and they're not bad.

I hate Sworn Enemy though. There's a song I heard on the Metal channel on Music Choice of theirs where they scream "SWORN ENEMYYYYYYYY" again and again. Nothing is lamer than repeating your own band name in a single.

I saw FF a few months before the big falling out and eventual breakup. They looked tired and disinterested. Poor Burton was sunburnt worse than I think I've ever seen anyone burnt. Later in the week I saw Pantera and they were tired and old although it was still a great time.

It wasn't the best week to spend a hundred odd dollars on metal shows.

"Pantera was shitty but I had fun anyway" sums them up completely post '98.
