You know, it's not just the WWE championship belt that's in trouble. Almost every belt on Smackdown is being treated like a joke.

 

WWE Championship: around the waist of Dibiase Lite

 

Crusierweight: Recently given to a woman whose only distinguishing feature was her grossly inflated breasts (and who was fired just a few weeks later), and then to a senior citizen.

 

Tag Belts: The Dudz as tag champs would be tolerable, but they've established that the Undertaker--one man--can beat on the tag champs with relative ease. But I guess we forgive everything Taker does because he does a few mixed martial arts moves and no-selling "fits his character."

 

US championship: Gone from gathering dust in Big Show's closet to actually meaning something. Apparently the title match at GAB helped a lot. Who would have thought a few months ago it would be the title with the most cred on Smackdown?

Even though I am not too happy, hey at least we got a real surprise winner for once, even when eddie won at nwo we knew it was gonna happen thanks to the booking of berg/brock  and angel winning #1 contendership

 

I think the smarks hatred of bradshaw is overcoming their logical judgment.  Truth be told, the live crowds have been reacting to this feud at least.  not saying it warrants jbl getting the belt, but hey its somethin different like I said

I think the main problem with JBL is that he hasn't really done anything to be in the spot that he's in. He's been in a tag team for the past 7 years then when that breaks up he becomes JBL. A few weeks later he gets to be the #1 contender not by wrestling a match but, because Angle gave it to him. As a singles wrestler JBL hardly wrestles anyone and when he does it's a squash match. I think ever since he became JBL he wrestle like 4 times total on TV. And as a heel he hasn't really done anything really heelish besides wanting to deport people.
