To think that a beer or a joint is going to ruin your life is rediculous, and to think that it's so severe that trying either once will destroy everything just shows that you have absolutely no self-control, among other things. And don't say abstaining from drugs is self-control either, that's just isolating yourself from it, because I'm sure if someone lights up a J at a party you get all uppity and leave. Fuck XXSTRAIGHT_EDGEXX people. If you don't want to do drugs or alcohol, fine. Just don't give yourself a stupid label and describe it as me "fucking up my brain". Say, if a buddy of mine became a tweaker, which has happened more than once, I'd do what I did then. Let them bottom out, make sure no one dies, and protect anything of mine that's pawnable. They'll either quit doing it or they won't. If you try to control a person, friend or not; high or not, they'll do nothing but resent you for it. What are you, her mom? Since this is obviously turning into an edger bashing thread then let me clear up a few things. I am not one of those extremist fucks who doesn't eat meat and doesn't use aspirin or anything like that, and I don't go around preaching to others that they shouldn't do drugs, sure I tell people that are doing them to go against it but only if they ask for my opinion. And by telling me that I have no self control because I don't do drugs? I'll just let you live with yourself on that one. I am aware that smoking one joint or drinking one beer will not fucking kill you but I just have one question. Why should I? As long as I don't force my opinion upon others, who gives a fuck? I simply have seen too many drunks stumbling over themselves and others trying to look cool in front of everyone at a party. I have friends that do drugs, of course I don't approve of it but who am I to tell them what to do? If they want help they all know they can come to me. Not all Straight Edgers will slap a beer out of your hand at a party and Straight Edge is just a shorter way to say "person who does not use harmful chemicals". Hopefully that clears a few things up for a few of you, and I apologize to the people who actually care about the problem at hand. Anyway, back to said problem, I "solved" it the other day. I was at a friends house and he came over looking for someone. I talked to him about the girl mentioned earlier, he mentioned something about "that sweet ass" or something to that effect so I opted for "Erase his face". It worked out great for me, not for him. Also, my post encouraging letting people make their own mistakes runs right in line with your way of thinking, only I'm stoned. Weird, no?
