Guest KingofHarts Report post Posted July 1, 2004 O.k here's how this works choose 1 series for th best NES then choose on series you don't think deserves to be on the list. But you can't use any other ststem than the NES (i.e. Metroid isn't a series because the sequal was on SNES, or you can't pick Zelda because you loved the Windwaker.) then list at least one reason why you voted that way. (It can't be "Because it sucked,or I loved it" give an actual reason. For: Super Mario Bros. (Consistantly fun and always something new thrown into the mix.) Against Mega man (to me it was the same game over and over and over......)
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2004 Ninja Gaiden, though 3 had too many damn plot holes... TMNT I know it's not exactly a series, but the Disney franchise put out some decent games through Capcom: Ducktales 1 and 2, Darkwing Duck, Rescue Rangers, hell even Little Mermaid was the shit... EDIT: for the first two choices, i don't need to explain why, those two are pretty self-explanitory...
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2004 Does Darkwing Duck really count? That game was basically Mega Man with gas... Wait, that didn't sound right... Surely Castlevania has to be up there, although Mario is tough to top. Oh, and CV had its own Mega Man knock-off with Kid Dracula.

Guest KingofHarts Report post Posted July 1, 2004 Ok so far i have the only votes cause no one is following the correct procedure. Vote for One give reason why. Only ONE not two, two is more than one. Self Explanatory is not a reason. Vote against One (See above) So recaping right now it's Zelda 1 Megaman -
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2004 Ok so far i have the only votes cause no one is following the correct procedure. whatever... why do i need to tell you why, just take my vote. Ninja Gaiden, because it was innovative with it's story-telling, innovative with it's action, had great music (boss music rocked) and was hella hard to beat... there Ninja Gaiden, one vote for Ninja Gaiden, happy now? Guest slacklet Report post Posted July 1, 2004 Star Tropics and it's sequel Zoda's Revenge were arguably two of the best RPG's on the NES. Top Gun and it's sequel sucked balls. Star Tropics Series +1 Top Gun Series -
Guest Coffey Report post Posted July 1, 2004 For: Castlevania series. The original, Simon's Quest & Dracula's Curse are all fantastic games that I still play to this day. I consider it to be the best series of all time. It just so happens that the first three all meet the criteria for this post. Against: Ninja Gaiden series. The first one was the only one that I thought was playable. The other two were just...there. Hell, I don't even like going back and playing the original to be truthful. Also, if your typing/spelling wasn't so bad and you could form some sentences, maybe people would have an easier time understanding what you're trying to say. That could go a long way in having people reply how you want them to. Just use the damn edit button. I don't want you to get mad or anything at me for saying this, but before you just up and tell people they are doing things wrong, you could at least make sure your post is readable. Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted July 1, 2004 Ninja Gaiden is my favourite series. I love the challenge and the coolness of it all. The story was anime like in a time when anime wasn't really around.
Special K 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2004 Mega Man would be my vote. A large amount of games, superb control in all, innovative ideas in many. Mario and Dragon Warrior/Quest are the only others that come close.
