Mikey Whipwreck: Heel

Recommended Posts

In his shoot interview he said the last straw was Evan Koragous winning the WCW Cruiser title...cause "this kid is ths shits."

But you can pile that on top of just never being used.

Well, in that case, he was there for a little over a year and a half.

From there, you then had Madusa, Oklahoma, Iaukea, Daffney (though her reign is excusable), etc.

Mikey said the match was amazing to see live in the junkyard...but that was the problem, it was LIVE in the junkyard. Said everyone suggested taping it before hand, but they didn't, and when you saw the match you couldn't see shit.

I've always wanted to see that match. The DDT Digest report of it is hilarious and horrendous at the same time.

With the right writing anyone can get over. For someone similar to Mikey's size, Spike Dudley was pretty over at the beginning of his run in WWE.

While this is somewhat true, a guy with a great look, great skills, or great charisma has a real leg up on the competition. Mikey just didn't have any of those things.

It wasn't enjoyable at all, in my opinion, but I wasn't a WCW type hardcore fan either. I just remember a lot of huys getting hurt, and the cameras missing half the action.

Speaking of the Junk Yard Hardcore Match from Bash at the Beach 1999, Mikey suffered a concussion during that.

Poor Mikey.

Yeah after that match I'm pretty sure thats when Mikey left, I don't blame the guy for that move at all. I'm really surprised WWE never picked up on Mikey after making a name for himself. I mean he basically did it all in ECW, went to WCW, I'm just surprised WWE never went after him.
