Anyone seen those Classic Wrestling 2 packs

What I was wondering was if anyone's seen the comp 2 pack Best of Classic Wrestling/Booker T, there's a Nick Bockwinkel/Curt Hennig match, is it any good. It's probably severely clipped (cause the DVD is like only 56 minutes).

Yeah I saw it the other night. Was tempted to buy it, but there's alot of crap on there. I bought Airheads instead.

Yeah I have both of those sets although I haven't really sat down to watch them. I did watch some of the Hennig/ Bockwinkel match though. It's the match where Curt wins the AWA title.

I decided to take the chance for $5 and here's a rough breakdown.

 

The host for this sucks.

 

 

Nick Bockwinkle Vs. Curt Henning-We start with a 1-2 minute interview with Bockwinkle were he basically puts Henning over expressing that he thinks Henning's one of the best superstars today and hopes he becomes big in the WWF.

 

Match is clipped with 1/3 of it being the moments in the match when the camera shows Uber Mullet Zbysko ringside.Mullet goes over to Henning when he's down,walks away and once Curt gets up he knocks out Bockwinkle and wins the title.Couldn't tell if Larry Z passed something off the Curt or not.

 

 

Cowboy Bob Orton Vs. Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart-Not sure if this is clipped because the announcer says their going to commercial break,theirs a cut and it just keeps going.

 

Anvil punches the cowboy the whole match till Orton busts out his drop kick and shows me were Randy got his nice one from.Anvil wins with a punch with knucks right after however.Zzzz

 

 

Freebirds Vs. Dr.Death & Ted Dibiase-God Michael Hayes looks so gay in this.

 

Birds are the heels but theirs still more confederate flags being held up in the audience then signs.Actually not a bad looking "backstreet brawl" as they called it or no dq.I say not bad looking because they start from the beginning of the match with no clips but then go and don't show the fucking ending.Anyone know who wins this?I was actually kinda curious to see if Dibiase and DD pulled out the victory.

Eddie Gilbert vs. Boogie Woogie Man Jimmy Valiant-Finally a match shown in it's entirety and it blows!

 

Mostly a comedy match and an unfunny one at that.No wrestling moves used only punches with lots of stalling and Gilbert wins with the assist from someone on the outside in a way that I dont even feel like explaining.

 

Afterwards we get a 1-2 minute interview with Valiant were he tells you to go to his website if you want to become a wrestler and to come visit his wrestling memorabilia museum anytime for free on Sunday's between 12-4...

 

Superfly Jimmy Snuka Vs. The Kodiak Bear-Wow another unclipped wrestling match and it's not one of the better ones on here.Big suprise.

 

Kodiak Bear spends the entire match in control punching Snuka and putting him in restholds.Finally Snuka mounts his comeback via a punch to Kodiak.Snuka then climbs the top rope,hits the crossbody.All she wrote.

 

Junkyard Dog Vs. Jerry "The King" Lawler-Wow finally something to make me feel like this wasn't a complete waste of money.

 

Not a good match wrestling wise but still interesting.Dog is over big with the JYD chants and Lawler,man what a heel.Lots of stalling from Lawler and a really funny moment were he bails outside of the ring for about the 3rd time and makes this cameraman slip on soda and bust his ass as he's trying to get out of the way.Lawler cheats with a chain going as far as to stick it in his mouth when the ref pats him down.Good stuff.He's so over as a heel and JYD is so over as a face anytime JYD looks like he's got the upperhand the crowd just erupts.

 

I can't tell if this is clipped of the ending because JYD starts brawling outside with Lawler and Gagne.JYD ends up fighting Gagne to the back out of camera range and somewhere in there I think I heard the bell for a dq although it's hard because the sound on this dvd SUCKS and is too low.

 

SPECIAL NOTE:Lawler gives Albert a run for his money with the body hair.Hell,it looks like he even comb'd it during this period

 

 

 

Don't know if i'll be able to stomach the BookerT dvd tonight but if and when I do i'll report back if anyone cares to know about it.
