spiny norman 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2004 I love Stand By Me, but it's The Shawshank Redemption, no contest.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2004 Is this Stephen King book made into movie, or the ones where Stephen King actually directed? If it is movies he actually directed then I will go with "IT" If it just movies that King wrote the book for then, yeah Shawshank Redemption no doubt. chaosrage 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2004 I thought the only thing King directed was Maximum Overdrive. And the answer to the title is Shawshank Redemption. End thread.

Guest Iron Nick Report post Posted July 13, 2004 Shawshank is awesome and it got my vote. Shining come as a close second and Green Mile is pretty good too.
Guest Staravenger Report post Posted July 13, 2004 By Book to Movie, three are tied for first... The Shining, Misery, and IT. Too bad it's been years since I've seen Misery, and IT DVD is double sided, so I have to get off my lazy ass to switch sides to finish. Christine dragged from time to time, but still good. I have no idea about his direction.
LivingLegendGaryColeman 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2004 No Dreamcatcher? Where's the "Dudis" love? I picked Green Mile cause I really liked that one, however I have not seen a couple of the other high profile ones.
