Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 And Thome fails. Thats it...The AL has won.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 That went better than anticipated. The ugly of the Jays uniform was clouding my judgment.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 On the bright side, maybe this game will put the home field rule to rest.
Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Nah they will just mandate an even dumber gimmick to the game.
Guest Staravenger Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Nah they will just mandate an even dumber gimmick to the game. Let me guess....the field is covered entirely with pancake mix.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Nah they will just mandate an even dumber gimmick to the game. I heard someone suggest they should ripoff the oh so popular NHL ASG gimmick of USA vs the WORLD instead of AL/NL because interleague pretty much ruined the All Star Game.
Guest Staravenger Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Is there enough players to even make a TEAM of non-American/Canadian born players?
Bruiser Chong Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 I also don't understand why Jason Schmidt hasn't been used yet. He threw a lot of pitches two days ago, but I would've put him in there for an inning, instead of Pavano for two.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Tejada, Guiien and Matsui are left for the AL. You know he is going to use Matsui.. This pisses me off so much
Guest FrigidSoul Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Yes, between the Japanese players, Dominicans, and Canadians there would be enough for a world team.
Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Glavine should have started the fucking game. Well...Stubborn is better then Clay Walker and The ugly chick from eariler.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 He was certainly asking alot of that jersey. So, K-Rod or Gordon coming in?
Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Yes, between the Japanese players, Dominicans, and Canadians there would be enough for a world team. Yep and You know what? I'm All for it. The NL/AL is dead.
Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 He was certainly asking alot of that jersey. So, K-Rod or Gordon coming in? Who you think? Always Use a yankee.
Guest Staravenger Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Yes, between the Japanese players, Dominicans, and Canadians there would be enough for a world team. Whoops, I forget about the Cubans, DR's, and Japanese players...but that would pretty much be Central America & Japan instead of the World. America is the #1 country for hockey, which is why the NA vs. World gimmick worked...kinda. I never really enjoyed it much.
Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 They just like rubbing this in Gagne's face.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 HEY! Tejada is in even though he wont get an AB probably. Seeing the adjusted lineup hes due up 3rd next inning.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Figures I'd spend most of Abreu's at bat staring at Eric Gagne. Fuck Fox.
Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 I'm not sure about Gagne's canadian beard... Im a fan of the Gagne Goatee
Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Figures I'd spend most of Abreu's at bat staring at Eric Gagne. Fuck Fox. yep. I guess fox forgot what a split screen is.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 The "this time it counts" vibe is killed when Fox decides an interview is more important than the actual game.
Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 If the NL doesnt get something going off this kid, i wont be a happy Choken one.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Mo's been doing this for 12 years? Stupid Canadian math
MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 The "this time it counts" vibe is killed when Fox decides an interview is more important than the actual game. It is 9-4 though.
Guest Staravenger Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 The "this time it counts" vibe is killed when Fox decides an interview is more important than the actual game. What do you expect from the FOX network? It's FOX!!!
KingPK Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 MLB is already going through with the whole World Cup thing, so we probably won't be seeing a "NA vs the World" situation anytime soon. They should just acknowledge the game as the exhibition it is and leave it at that.
Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 If they had just fucking started Glavine like he SHOULD have been, they might have been in better shape.
Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Great, Nathan(no offense) was the NL's last hope. They will get KROD and Mo' now.
