MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Blalock vs Gagne, the Sequel! and he pops up the first pitch.
Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Drayton McClaine is the biggest loser of the whole thing. He fires his coach, He botches the first pitch catch last night in the derby and his star player gives up six runs.
Guest Staravenger Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Matsui gets an at bat finally...and he will strike out.
Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 The Yankees have one left (Rivera) should they go extra in the event of a miracle... Nationals has Grave and Herendez. At least McKeon was smart enough to save two closers in the event of a extra inning run
Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 so...Who is the MVP? Shocked they haven't said nething bout it... I'd say Ortiz for delivering the final knockout blow.
Guest Staravenger Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 And here comes Mo...(puts the N.L. out to pasture)
Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Is there a miracle in the works? Nah I dont fucking think so. But I'd kill to see Torre's shitfaced reaction to seeing the NL tie this bitch up and be forced to pitch his own guy again (this time he won't have the luxury of saying the manager of another team wouldn't like it)...
Guest Anglesault Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 I'm torn here, because on the one hand, I wanted the NL to win and for this to be a good game. On the other, I don't like Clemens at all, so I was glad to see him get shelled so quickly, especially in front of the home crowd. Say what you want, I don't think Clemens was truly deserving of the start. It’s just his job one day a week A rocket man, a rocket man And I don't think he's gonna be in a long long time...
MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Wow..LIVE Poker.. thats gotta be even more boring than taped Poker (on TV anyway). Todd Helton leads off.
Guest Staravenger Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Na na na na na na na na Hey Hey Hey goodbye!
Guest Anglesault Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 But I'd kill to see Torre's shitfaced reaction He's drinking?
Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 him....Gagne would have to hit should they rally...nice.
Guest Staravenger Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 But I'd kill to see Torre's shitfaced reaction He's drinking? No, but McKeon probably has. And thats 1 out. Odd seeinf a Yankee & Red Sox player on the infield and not trying to fight.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 This has absolutely got to be the worst managed All-Star game in quite some time. And I include 2002 in that statement.
Guest Staravenger Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Two down....and what about the 2002 AS Game? I don't think I saw that one (Stupid work) but can I get a quick refresher on why it was bad?
MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Hey, Tejada gets the last out. Sweet.
Guest Staravenger Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 So the game was over BEFORE the N.L. even got to bat...MAH-velous.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Two down....and what about the 2002 AS Game? I don't think I saw that one (Stupid work) but can I get a quick refresher on why it was bad? Brenly and Torre ran out of pitchers after eleven innings.
Guest Staravenger Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Holy crap that's horrible. Oh well, tomorrow is the AAA All-Star Game, so maybe that will be more entertaining.
Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 But I'd kill to see Torre's shitfaced reaction He's drinking? I'm sure he will meet up with Roger tonight, whom will be smashed if not already.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Hopefully this works out better than last year.
Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 I love the whole "I'm sorry for Roger" theme going on here tonight. WHY THEY KEEP BRINGING IT UP? Fox isn't happy with Clemens here at all. All the hype for nothing but him pissing away the ratings.
Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Anyone know where the 2005 All-Star Game is? I thought someone said Anaheim but i'm not sure. I'm convinced since the whole THIS TIME IT COUNTS gimmick was an abortion...Selig will bring in the USA Vs The World Gimmick.
LaParkaYourCar Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Next year's All-Star Game is in Detroit.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Anyone know where the 2005 All-Star Game is? I thought someone said Anaheim but i'm not sure. Detroit.
Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Ah. Great. The Derby should be canceled. Which is better, we might get a real game this time.
Bruiser Chong Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Any idea on what the cost of tickets to the AS game is? I'm only two hours outside of Detroit, so if it's feasible, I'm definitely going to make an effort to get there for it.
Damaramu Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 So my friend is a Mariner's fan and I'm a Red Sox fan. So we sit down prepared to root the power hitting of the AL on against the tough pitching of the NL. What we got instead was marveling as our boys broke Roger Clemen's neck making him watch the balls fly. Hehehe....... Oh and who said Soriano was a scrub? As soon as I saw him hit that homer my reaction was "I knew there was a reason I voted for him!"
Guest Choken One Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 I'm def. hitting the AS Game as it's only about 5 hours away for me and I never been to a AS game before (since they haven't been in the driving distance in a while since Cleveland in 1997 and i couldn't go).
