Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted July 16, 2004 I'm excited about the new character with Paul heyman. Heyman can get him over, and he has an instant feud with Undertaker. Are the Dudleys still with Heyman? I don't recall Heyman getting Morgan or Jones over...it's been a while, though. John can sound INTENSE!~ in a video package--means nothing. Jones quit after two weeks though, so... Morgan wasn't ready either. This is John's second time 'round, so we can only assume this time he's more polished. Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted July 16, 2004 Plus, he's going to debut anyway, might as well be positive while you can.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 16, 2004 That wasn't a pretty looking Froggy.

I'm going to assume he still sucks. Paul Heyman can do everything he can, but when the guy can't get it done in the ring, the fans aren't going to care. NYU 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2004 an 30 minute cage match got NO replies in this thread. Wow. People probably turned to SPIKE 30 minutes early just to make sure they wouldn't get shut out of the incredibly thrilling Diva Special. I know I did. Can't take TOO many chances, you know? Tawren 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2004 Cage was boring, everything else was too short, but it was basically on the level of Raw, which gets a lot of acclaim around here lately. Not saying it was good, but it was no less watchable than the stuff we watch on Mondays.
NYU 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2004 OH MY GOD!! I THINK I SEE A PAIR OF BOOBIES!! CAN THEY SHOW THAT?!
Tawren 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2004 Why the hell are they playing Simple Plan? Why is HHH judging? Ditto for Jericho? Why am I even watching this tripe? *changes to EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND of all things*
NYU 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2004 Coach: And here's Girl #1 Hunter: I...uh.....I saw that, when you walked out here, you stepped first with your right foot. You're making it to the second round! Girl: Hooray!! *Jumps up and down creating major b00bage!!* Crowd: YEAH!!!!! Coach: And now here comes Girl #2 Edge: I....uh.....I see you're wearing a blue bra. Everybody knows you wear red in July. You're not making it to the second round. Girl: Awww..... Crowd: *stunned silence* ....... Rinse and repeat. For a whole hour. This is certainly quality television right here! Tawren 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2004 Edge: I understand you sing opera, but so did Povarotti. You're eliminated.
NYU 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2004 Hunter: I.....uh.....I understand you're a firefighter. Bobbi: Yes. Yes I am. Hunter: Well....uh.....tell me how you would put out my fire. Bobbi: Um......uh......he he......use water. Maybe a fire extinguisher too.....? He he. Hunter: ......no third round.
Tawren 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2004 20 for a t-shirt and she gets eliminated but the chick who won't have lesbian sex in public advances? WTF?
NYU 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2004 Orton: Sell this T-Shirt. Girl #1: Okay. Um.....I got $20 for it. Orton: What?! That shirt cost $25! Get out of here! Girl #1: *sob* Okay.... ::Girl #2 walks in:: Edge: Well, who's your favorite porn star? Girl #2: She's.... Edge: Did you say "she"?! You're going to the second round!! --------------------------------------- See, now this is why those guys are the judges and I'm not. I never realized just how more valuable saying the word "she" was rather than....you know.....bringing in money to the federation by selling T-Shirts. True scouts of talent, Randy and Edge are. Guest The Ultimate Fantasy Report post Posted July 16, 2004 So ummm did Smackdown! suck, I have no satellite? Although perhaps someone should post a recap of the diva search because what I have read has been serious thought provoking and could perhaps have strong repercussions or better yet "IT COULD CHANGE THE WWE FOR EVER!!!!!!" Silence 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2004 Smackdown wasn't terrible, but it still sucks that JBL is still the WWE Champion, although the WWE title hasn't changed hands on TV in quite some time, so I guess I should have expected that even before reading the spoilers. JBL is a pretty good WWE Champ, actually. I can't wait till Big Show's return, BTW.
Guest Brian Report post Posted July 16, 2004 Not bad. I haven't watched SD in a while but it wasn't that bad. Nice to see the cruisers getting some time. They need to go all out with this JBL gimmick. He needs as lobby with a receptionist. He needs a lawyer, an accountant, and a financial adviser. He needs to have people taking numbers and stuff. Come on. Go all out on a gimmick for once.
Guest Brian Report post Posted July 16, 2004 And Kurt needed to grab the knee like he broke it again and signal for people to come out and help carry him to the back.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2004 Wasn't there a segment where Kurt fired all the SD Divas? I assumed it was in the first 15 minutes that I missed, but a West Coaster says it wasn't on at all... Which is a relief, because I guess that means it's not going to be a major plot point and they're not moving them to Raw... For now.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2004 I didn't really care too much about the cage match, other then a few things. 1) JBL's lariat was fucking DEADLY. Nothing akin to Hansen but more of a straight-forward power clothesline. Killer stuff. 2) Eddy's frogsplash off the cage was fucking swank. 3) JBL's ddt on Eddy post-frogsplash looked great. That's about it.

Evil Finacial mexican hating Advisor?
Guest Brian Report post Posted July 16, 2004 I think they should just go all out and look past that. I thought his gimmick was self-made stock broker. But I think he should just get infinately lazy and get other people to do things for him.
Guest The Ultimate Fantasy Report post Posted July 16, 2004 See though I think Bradshaw needs to rip off more Million Dollar Man type things, like he could get a little to bounce a ball ten times for a hundred dollars, and at nine he could kick the ball out but to update it, the kid shoots him or is reavled to be the bastard child of Bradshaw and Mae Young. Internet Warfare 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2004 I thought the show was good (although the cruiser matches were shorter this week) with an awesome main event. Great stuff. Bradshaw is working his ass off and is good when paired up with Eddie, but I can't see the same success with Taker. But right now it's all good.
