So yet another team of losers has whined about the new coach working them too hard? Is this going to become a new problem with football? Or is this just a group of losers proving why they're a group of losers?

 

I don't like this very much at all. Now I admit the coach could be working them too hard but it comes off as players acting spoiled to me. I really hope this doesn't become the annual thing during training camps now. I don't want this to turn into a league of premadonna's like the NBA has.

after the Korey Stringer death they're taking this very seriously. If rules were violated something will be said, if not then the players' word will become diminished and sooner than later they'll stop listening to them.

 

I do know however that the rules have changed since Tom Coughlin, Dennis Green, Joe Gibbs, etc have coached last and they may not be up to all the codes. Should be remedied soon enough.

I could see that possibility, except for Coughlin since he's only been out for a year. But it gives me a vibe of losers being losers. At least with the Giants it reeked of older players set in their ways throwing a tantrum because someone came in and made them do things differently.

Moronic. I'd symphathize if they were complaining about the heat, since I wouldn't want to run around in pads in 100+ degree heat either.

 

Football is a strenuous game, and it takes a lot to get a team ready, so these guys are going to have to suck it up if they want to actually go anywhere.

... I can understand not liking football players, but not respecting football players is reeeaaaal dumb.

These guys go through the most strenuous conditioning to play the most punishing sport for the shortest career and their money isn't even guarenteed.

Don't like how practice is being run? Walk away from the game and work at fucking 7-11 for the rest of your life. I'd be more than happy to take part in these so-called strenuous conditions if I were getting paid as well as they are.

I don't think football players are getting quite up with baseball/basketball. They've got a ways to go.

 

SCRUBS are getting 4/5 mil a year in the NBA and baseball's on the way there. Don't like it? There's probably some kids wearing US military garb in Afghanistan and Iraq that would like to switch places with you!

Count me in the opposite camp. Athletes are paid more than most of us, but they are still human. They have levels of endurance, and they can only be pushed so far. And that the Cardinals broke written guidelines is an indication that they were pushing training too far.
