Special K 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2004 Watched it about a week ago, and it's about the scariest movie I've seen in years. Quite similar to Ringu in terms of how it presents its ghosts, but much, much scarier, IMHO. (also it's Japanese, i hadn't made that clear) I've heard they're doing an American remake of the movie, and all I have to say, is they better not do the same thing as the Ring, changing scary-ass Sadako into a little girl with CG effects. Spring a couple bucks and get that FREAKY FREAKY Japanese actress to reprise the part, I'm sure gurgling in a creepy manner translates just fine to English. Insane Bump Machine 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2004 If you liked this one you should watch the original TV version from 2000. It has the same story but different scenes and some other actors. It's even scarier IMO. PS: What were your favourite scenes? For me, when the girl hides in her bed and the ghost is under her blanket. Oh, and when the ex-cop watches the surveillance video. Judging from the trailers, the remake should be great. The two ghosts [mother & son] are being played by the same people.
Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2004 doesn't it also have the same director from the Japanese ones, or am I confusing it with The Ring 2?
