AnonymousBroccoli 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2004 The DVD is out here in Canada as well, which I'm shocked since usually there is a two-month delay with the release of DVD's. it might have something to do with the Canadian factor. Stores might be importing US copies. Koch's Canadian release date is August 10th. http://www.kochcan.com/05_catalogue/videoi...V-9134&frame=1# Amazon.ca has the same for the Canadian version. However, the American version still has Tuesday as its release date, and is actually 22 cents less than the Canadian one. I wish I could get it myself, but I spent all of my money on a half-price TV DVD box set sale. Now I can watch the first season of King of the Hill instead of some of the best wrestling matches ever. spman 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2004 A few quick notes: Remember around Wrestlemania when it was reported that the WWE had been filming footage at the Hart Familys home? It's on here. This DVD also contains the only footage from Over the Edge 1999 WWE has ever released so far. They show the segment where Ross and Lawler explain the circumstances sorrounding and then announce Owens death. When discussing the feud he had with Kevin Sulivan in WCW, he alludes to the events that led to his relationship with Nancy, but ultimatly glosses over it because he wants to be able to explain it to his children first. "So Kids, Your mom was married to this guy, he was a wrestler to and we pretended to hate each other. Your mom was my valet, or assistant. we were just friends. The guy told us to go places together. Then I stole her from him. He hated me so he held me down as much as he could. I married your mom, left his control and became a legend. You can thank that guy for you being here. The moral? Steal someone's wife isn't a BAD thing"
SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2004 This week's Best Buy ad (at least the one for the Kansas City market) lists the DVD as still coming out Tuesday.
Guest Dazed Report post Posted July 25, 2004 My highspots.com pre-order (which I've been checking daily ) lists it as Tuesday July 27th, too.
Guest tangerine Report post Posted July 25, 2004 Yeah, the local ads are promoting it to come out on Tuesday as well. I gave up on trying to get it early. I got the Flair, Foley, Bloodbath and HBK dvds before the release dates but not this one.
Guest Real F'n Show Report post Posted July 25, 2004 I'd find it funny if he lost the tooth in a completely bizzare fashion like falling down the stairs, something that would take away that "tough" aura. Or a cavity
Guest tangerine Report post Posted July 25, 2004 Cavity's are a bitch. That would only ENHANCE his toughness.

I find your grasp at the English language to be interesting as that made no sense. DVD comes out in 2 days, what's the big deal?
Guest tangerine Report post Posted July 25, 2004 He likely just read the message and didn't read through it and naturally assumed the 3 pages were bitching. While the thread revealed alot of people have found it early.
algrim 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2004 I'm happy with the whole DVD. I just finished watching it minutes ago. I didn't think there was anything wrong or lacking. I guess part of is "miffed," not disappointed that they forgot to include two matches: -Benoit vs.Rock (Fully Loaded 2000) -Benoit vs. Austin (Smackdown, May 2001)-- Austin receives ten rolling germans. razazteca 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2004 I heard that Benoit lost his tooth after a stiff kick to the face in Japan. From a woman at the New Japan Dojo? No, actually, it was from a mini luchadore, Ultimo Dragoncito Now that would be funny. But it would of been badass if it resulted from a Stan Hansen Lariat. I wonder if the local Walmart or FYE will have it this Tuesday. I need to own this dvd.

Eh, I'd rather have Benoit/Malenko vs. Raven/Saturn than Rock vs. Benoit. This DVD sounds insanely great already though, so no complaints from me.
SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2004 I find it interesting that once again the internet is abuzz once again that something of Benoit's is being held back. I find your grasp at the English language to be interesting as that made no sense. Let me explain the joke to you: -People on the internet are used to complaining that Benoit's career was being held back by whomever for whatever reason. -A news item reports that the release date for the first DVD about Benoit is being held back by whomever for whatever reason. -Therefore its "interesting" (meant in a non-serious way) that the internet is again talking about something of Benoit's being held back, even after he's become the World Champion of Raw. Do you understand now, or would you like for me to use crayons and finger puppets?
Guest SoZe Report post Posted July 26, 2004 Unfortunately, they have added commentary to the Ragal match, Tom Prichard and Michael Cole. I was hoping that somehow they would leave it alone, but no. They praise the match the whole time, especially Prichard, who's a huge fan of the match. It's just a bit distracting because while som enthusiastic about the quality of it, they kinda talk all over it which sorta defeats the purpose. But still, very thankful that they EVEN included the match, and me bitching is kinda lame. They did keep the original commentary for the Japan matches, so that's cool. I'm real glad they gave an option for the commentary for those, I just watched them as they were, it felt a bit more authentic. I like Cole and Tazz as a team, but for the first time, felt like watching it the way the were recorded. I really liked the match with Scorpio as well, good stuff there. spman 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2004 The commentary on the Japan matches from Benoit and Malenko is very interesting. Unfortuantly that Todd Grisham guy is the biggest dumbass ever, so they end up having to correct the stupid comments he makes every time he opens his mouth. Also Cole and Tazz pronouncing Sasuke as Sahs Kay during their commentary irks me.

Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted July 26, 2004 Koch Canada is charging 39 bucks? Fuck that, the Flair one was 29 everywhere. And where did this one dude get the notion that it was being released in Canada tomorrow just as in the States? Spill the beans, inform us.

Let me point out what you didn't seem to understand I find it interesting that once again the internet is abuzz once again that something of Benoit's is being held back. Improper sentence structure. Thus how your grasp of the English knowledge is interesting. You may be a "Jerk" but I'm an asshole, so I'll beat you every day of the week kiddo. Edit: To keep this on topic though, this is probably the most excited I've gotten over a wrestling DVD release. I was pretty excited about the Foley DVD but I had seen everything on it already. The Japanese footage is a great touch to this one.
