These are the guys that always get good press despite their shortcomings, declining abilities, etc. My list: 1. Michael Jordan - he did destroy the Wizards franchise 2. Kobe Bryant - portrayed as a hero despite being on trial for rape 3. Steve McNair - Salsburies mancrush on him is really annoying 4. Warren Sapp - nonstop airtime during football season despite average play 5. Coach K 6. Randy Moss 7. Bill Parcells 8. Kurt Warner 9. Brett Favre 10. Barry Bonds - always out to make him seem like a nice guy 11. Sammy Sosa - constantly ignore his shitty fielding 12. Steve Spurrier - making a top coaching list despite his run with the Redskins 13. Shaq 14. Phil Jackson - I'd like to see how he did with an average team 15. Mike Shannahan - the Broncos are always overrated and he seems to always escape blame for the team falling apart 16. Bill Billichek - all to willing to forget how big a disaster he was in Cleveland 17. Michael Vick - average numbers so far but treated like the best QB ever 18. Eli Manning - commentators seemed more critical of the fans booing than Manning acting like a spoiled brat. 19. Jeremy Shockey - 4 TDs in 2 seasons doesn't make him a great TE 20. Daunte Culpepper - a lot of hype that ignores that he's an INT machine 21. Donovan McNabb - always the reason why the Eagles will get to the Super Bowl despite never showing up in the big playoff games 22. Karl Malone - act like he's the greatest guy despite his long history of dirty elbows 23. Lebron James - more hype than Dewayne Wade despite not getting to the playoffs 24. Brian Urlacker 25. Scotty Bowman - how was he so high on the top 25 coaches list? While I admit (rather grudgingly) that he is a good coach and a great recruiter, the verbal blowjobs he gets from ESPN, and Dickie V in particular are obscene, and should not be seen by children under the age of 13. There's a difference from calling him a great player and always trying to make him a sympathetic figure. They always try to portray him as this big misunderstood guy who's really nice deep down. If the media was talking to me every day, and my comments were perpetually published, I'd be happier than a pig in shit. Everybody would hear about everything that's on my mind, and I wouldn't have it any other way. To hell with guys refusing the media. I'd flag reporters down! "Hey! Hey you fromt he Tribune! Have I got a quote for YOU!" I agree with most of the ESPN Golden Boys. However, John Stockton was a decent guy and there's nothing to complain about if ESPN recognizes his greatness.
