Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted August 1, 2004 Driver Beaten Up for Observing Speed Limit BERLIN (Reuters) - A German truck driver beat up a motorist he believed was driving too slowly in a case of 'road rage' in a country famous for having no limits on stretches of its motorways. The trucker got in a fight with a car driver who had been slowing him down by observing a 30 km-an-hour (18 mph) speed limit in a built-up area. Police in the western town of Bochum said the truck driver told them he felt provoked by the motorist "because he was actually driving 30 kph in a 30 kph area." The trucker faces an investigation and may lose his driving license.

Two guys got into a mnor fender-bender, and they both got out of their vehicles. Guy A had a concealed hand gun, and a license to carry it that way. Guy B came up to him, in, quote, "a threatening manner." Guy A pulled out the hand gun, and shot him dead. Guy A was acquitted during his trial. Way to go, Texas; turning back the clock on societal development. Next thing you know, we'll all be carrying clubs, and dragging our women by their hair through the streets. (I live in Texas, btw, if you couldn't figure that out. )
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted August 2, 2004 He should've got the fuck out of the way, then. I have no sympathy for slowpokes. He who hesitates waits. Or gets whooped.
Dr. Tom 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2004 I grumble when people drive the speed limit, but I really can't fault them for it, since they ARE going the speed limit. The ones who piss me off and make my urge to kill rise are the cocksuckers who go *below* the speed limit, then compound that sin against society by never pulling over for faster traffic to get by. I swear, one day I'm going to finish my hood-mounted disintegrator ray...
Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2004 If people have a problem with my driving, they're free to change lanes, but I'll make sure they're not going to just pass in front of me.
Vanhalen 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2004 Yeah, but you guys have to remember this is Germany, and speed limits arent really observed at all, and they have no speed limits on the Autobahns, so you can see why the dude got a little pissed, I mean, havent we all been stuck behind a caravan for instance at one point in our lives
kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2004 I'm a slow driver, and that's why I usually drive on the right side of the road. If you speeders don't like it, just pass on the left. A week or so ago I was in CT/NY/NJ and it was f'n CRAZY. People had to have been going at least 80 mph -- 35 miles above the speed limit. Of course there was no law enforcement around. What's the f'n point of having speed limits in the first place? I know if I had been going with the flow of traffic, there would have been a po-po on my ass due to the fact I was in a Rental car with out-of-state plates...
