ArkhamGlobe 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2004 These are the films in the collection: The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser Even Dwarfs Started Small Lessons of Darkness Fata Morgana Heart of Glass Little Dieter Needs to Fly Stroszek As for whether this is a good place to start, I don't really know as I've only seen Heart of Glass. I love Heart of Glass, but it's not a good place to start as it's so stylistically extreme (all but one of the actors perform under hypnosis). There is, however, another boxset called the Herzog/Kinski collection which is I would consider a good place to start, specifically since it contains the films Aguirre - Wrath of God (one of my favourite films) and Fitzcarraldo, which are the two films I would recommend the most to Herzog beginners, as they're highly representative of his style of filmmaking but more accessible than, say, Heart of Glass.
