Guest Evolution Report post Posted August 7, 2004 6) Shawn Daivari is best known for his Magic Carpet Ride, where he grabs a carpet that he carries to ringside, climbs to the top rope, and hits a top rope splash with the carpet. He's a stereotypical Indian character, kinda like a poor man's Sonjay Dutt. Don't know much about Sabian, I've only seen him in one match at Cage of Death 5, and he was pretty alright in that. Thanks! Sabian - Little spot-monkey type from CZW who made a name for himself by rudely doing what every straight man wants to do, that being grabbing the plentiful ass of the Bouncing Bodacious Barefoot Big Booty Baby Becky Bayless. I heard he had a Chikara match with Joker that was excellent, but I haven't seen it yet. Larry Sweeney - I think he's that guy from the ?WA that Mikey Whipwreck ran that did the fisherman gimmick. Not sure though. Hallowicked - One of the more advanced students from the Chikara school. Relies more on the lucha-style submissions than a lot of other lucha-based indy workers these days. Watch out for his match against Rainman from the July 23rd "Tap Out City" IWA Mid-South show (now at SMV), tremendous stuff especially considering it was the first time either man had met in person, let alone wrestled each other. Excalibur - Funniest mofo ever. Pretty stylish, great commentator, and he just happens to be able to wrestle well too. Isn't that awesome? Disco Machine - Decent worker, nothing special. I do love the entrance though (making the referee and/or ring announcer hold a tiny disco ball over his head as he dances under it). Shawn Daivari - Not too good of a worker IMO, does the previously mentioned stereotypical Indian gimmick, including the Magic Carpet Ride. You could pass on this guy and not miss anything. LucharesuFan619 0 Report post Posted August 7, 2004 Disco Machine has a funny gimmick. Sabian has a cool Tumbleweed off the top rope to ringside, but that's about it. Very green. Larry Sweeney is best known for his USA Pro work. Never seen him work. If you've seen Super Dragon, Excalibur is similar in style, only with more of a comedy gimmick. He also does more promos than Super D.
