Der Kommissar 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2004 Also, anyone else catch Germany-China today? Germany absolutely beat the crap out of one of the best womens' soccer teams in the World, 8-0. Germany's a pretty dangerous team. I saw them a few years back against Japan. It was probably one of the best games I had ever seen. Basically, Japan was a fairly unheralded and scrappy team, who had a pulled a few upsets in their bracket to get to that point in the tournament. They took a 1-0 lead early in the match. Unfortuantely for the Japanese, the average Japanese player was like 5'1", the average German was like 5'7". The Germans decided to use their massive strength and size advantage to pound the hell out of the Japanese to try to gain that lead. It all came to a head late in the game when the Japanese players's bodies just couldn't take it anymore, and they begun being stretchered off the field. Of course, the Japanese had FIGHTING SPIRIT~! and held strong. They were lead on by this one girl who was stretchered off the field 3 times, yet still kept coming back for more! I was fearing for her safety after some of those hits. I was shocked that she just kept coming back. In the end, the Germans finally scored, with mere seconds left on the clock, then won shortly afterwards in overtime when the Japanese ran out of gas. Thinking about it, I hope to see that Japanese team in action again in these games. That was good fun.

If you do it by sport instead, the board will become too cluttered. Do you want me to make them if you're not here?
