Eclipse 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2004 My friend installed XP Pro on a brand new harddrive 2 separate times: Once with an official copy of XP Pro, and then my pirated copy. It won't boot up after the XP Pro splash logo appears and then you see the little scrolling green bar. It finishes that, and then blacks out and never boots. Of course, you'd think it would work under the NTFS format....that's not the case. When done under NTFS, it never starts the boot process. When done under FAT32, it does the process and then blacks out. He can only boot under safe mode under a FAT32 installation. What could be the problem? MrRant 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2004 Try upgrading the videocard drivers while booting to safe mode with networking.
