Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted April 30, 2002 R W S CK D Anybody need to buy a vowel? I thought that was the worst Raw since the split. The only thing I found highly entertaining was the Regal promo, and the 'Taker beat-down. The matches ranged from "suck" to "ehh". Random thoughts: --Anybody else still saying "Jeff Hardy is the next Shawn Michaels"? Didn't think so. Eddie practically held Jeff's hand for that match. And Jeff was bumping like Hogan. --Bradshaw's promo was awful. His push is just painful to watch. And get that mic out of Terri Runnels hands. --RVD/Booker was a big let-down, especially when considering the match they had on the Raw right after the split. --No mention of Lou Thesz, except for "Austin w/ the Lou Thesz press". Would it have killed them to do something at the beginning of the show, either 10-bell salute or moment of silence? Boo, WWF, boo.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted April 30, 2002 Well lets see. RAW sucked really bad this week and I said it would 10 hours before the start of the show. I proclaim that next weeks show will suck as well on the basis of the 6 man tag match that was signed, even though its kind of nostalgic to have next weeks ME stated during this weeks RAW. The only good thing about RAW last night was that when it was over I didnt have to see that stupid AIRPLANE commercial again.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted April 30, 2002 I think some people bitch just to hear themself bitch or to try and look "cool" to the other people who bitch just to hear themselves bitch. Now, are you bitching about people who bitch to hear themselves bitch because you want to hear yourself bitch about people who bitch to hear themsleves bitch or trying to look "cool" to the other people who bitch to hear themselves bitch about people who bitch to hear themselves bitch? Put on your helmet and think about that one brother! LMFAO! I think I went cross-eyed while reading this...

And Jeff was bumping like Hogan. True, and considering that bumping is the only thing that Jeff is good at right now, that becomes quite problematic. --Bradshaw's promo was awful. His push is just painful to watch. And get that mic out of Terri Runnels hands. Why is she still employed? She can't wrestle, can't talk, looks horrible, and is less over than Stasiak. --RVD/Booker was a big let-down, especially when considering the match they had on the Raw right after the split. RVD has been horrible since that tag match before Backlash. --No mention of Lou Thesz, except for "Austin w/ the Lou Thesz press". Would it have killed them to do something at the beginning of the show, either 10-bell salute or moment of silence? Boo, WWF, boo. Lou Thesz was arguably the greatest wrestler of all time. It was an insult to the profession not to honour him.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted April 30, 2002 Lou Thesz was arguably the greatest wrestler of all time. It was an insult to the profession not to honour him. Absolutely. Especially when you think what the time they could have used was wasted on...er...everything in the damn show.
Guest notJames Report post Posted April 30, 2002 I actually dozed off somewhere in the last half hour, so I missed Regal's Hulkamania promo. Damn, one of the few really spot-on moments in an otherwise boring show, and of course I miss it. I too was very disappointed in them not doing some kind of tribute to Lou Thesz. And yes, there seemed to be a second or two when JR hesitated to mention Thesz. Sad to see a once great commentator go the way of the corporate puppet Tony Shiavone, who was once himself a top-notch play-by-play man. And is it me, or is RVD getting more sloppy and more reliant on his trademark spots? That step-over heel kick gets worse and worse each week. (I think his competitors' legs are too long for him to properly do the move, whereas in ECW, all those barely- 6-footers were just about the right height for him to pull it off.) And he doesn't come across with the same energy he had before the split. Maybe he too is getting bored with RAW. For what it's worth, though, I liked the Booker T/Goldust segment. Although they need to come up with better lines for Booker. "Illegitimate lesbian?" What's that supposed to mean? Regardless, I'll be happier with a face or even tweener Booker T. Let's just hope the eventual match between the "Faux Hollywood Blonds" at JD is worth it.

I too had no idea what "Illigetimate lesbian" was supposed to mean, but when Booker laughed so hard after it, I began laughing hard too.
Guest Singular Report post Posted April 30, 2002 Booker vs. Goldust... Yea.... Booker is really doing awesome in his comedy role. Definitely a face turn, definitely.
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted April 30, 2002 RVD might be dumbing it down a bit since they have friggin Hogan main eventing. And quite honestly, how the hell is he gonna do anything besides a few main spots in a 3 minute TV match? After only getting 3 minutes and a run in finish, what incentive is there to go full out? I understand, but it only makes RAW worse than it already was.
Guest Report post Posted April 30, 2002 I'm starting to really mark out for Brock. He just has a sort of near-mentally-challenged vibe that makes him really scary. For a while I've felt there was something familiar about Brock and Heyman together, and then it hit me--anyone else seen Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome? MASTER BLASTER RUN BARTERTOWN~! Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted May 1, 2002 RAW had it's moments, some good and some bad. I don't know how badass Lesnar is going to look if he keeps palming people's asses.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted May 2, 2002 lol. I noticed that too. I was watching with my friend and he was like, "Is that guy Gay? he's feeling the other guy up!"
