Damaramu 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2004 Is that Philly@New England going to be on TV? It'll be my team again Boston Ernie's team! Boston Ernie is a guy I work with that's from Boston and goes on about the Patriots like they're a team of jesus's.

Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2004 It's going to be difficult watching the Jets. Chad, along with all the starters, but maybe Vilma, should play one series.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 13, 2004 Most teams will be benching their stars after a handful of series.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2004 Yeah, but the Jet didn't last year, and we all saw what happened.
KingPK 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2004 Yeah, I heard that Reid is going to have the Eagles starters in for a quarter to a quarter and a half. That really isn't smart for the first game. Especially since everyone is hoping Rodney Harrison has a "meeting" with TO on the 40 yard line. Plus, I think it's going to rain up here tonight, so that just makes things worse. At least we're going to see Rosey Colvin back on the field a little, or so I hear.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2004 Good lord, to steal a line from the owner in The Replacements: "I've seen monkey shitfights at the zoo that were more organized." Good to see that Todd Pinkston, whose only purpose is speed, could not beat Rodney Harrison downfield. And Jaworski (who does the preseason Eagles games) is excusing it by saying they are just a little sloppy on the first drive. Third string players get to be sloppy, there is no excuse for veteran starters to be sloppy.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2004 I'm getting the Chiefs/Giants game. Warner looks good and the Chiefs high powered offense is still intact.
KingPK 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2004 Nice to see the Pats finally signed a punter. And Dillon gets a standing O after a 14 yard run. Looks like Brady hasn't missed a step after his surgery.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2004 This game just keeps getting better. After the way his ankle got rolled I would imagine Matt Ware's season just ended.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2004 The Chiefs offense is really really good. However.....there defense still sucks. But they sacked Eli.....hehehehe........
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2004 One thing that is pleasing me, in this game, is the improvement shown by Reno Mahe. He is showing solid punt return ability (as opposed to just being "safe") and is also running better than I expected. I have no problem with him picking up 5 carries a game as the 3rd back in the Westbrook/Buckhalter rotation.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted August 14, 2004 How are you guys seeing the games? I can't see shit and it's pissing me off.
KingPK 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2004 I think the Pats should give Mike Cloud a bit more to do. He might not have hands as good as Kevin Faulk, but I think he could be useful in goal line situations, and he runs somewhat better than Faulk and can shed tackles well. the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2004 I live in South Jersey, so I get the Eagles local feed. Does Rohan Davey really suck this much or is he just having a bad night?
KingPK 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2004 It's on the Boston ABC affiliate, who air all of the Patriots pre-season games. I'll bet it's on a local Philly station as well. Guess you have to settle for the nationally televised games. Davey isn't exactly showing his NFL Europe self tonight, but he's going to be in for the rest of this game, and he'll have a lot of opportunities to make the backup job his. the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2004 Matt Ware's x-ray came back negative. Thank god. I like Sheppard/Brown/Ware/Hood going into the season. I don't want that messed up.
KingPK 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2004 Davey has settled down nicely, tossing two TDs and breaking off some pretty good runs, including picking up a 1st on 3rd and 15. Me likey.

If the NASCAR race is rained out Sunday, and providing I dont lose my satellite signal, I plan to sit and watch all of the games on Sunday.
