Do you have dates on any of these? Most of those matches have happened more than once.

I have the Rick Martel vs. Ric Flair match from Japan although I have no idea how many title for title matches they had, but I think I have the one you were talking about. Great match. At least 45 minutes in length and it is IMO Martel's greatest match of his career.

The only one I've definitely seen is Hogan-Flair, which is OK but doesn't nearly have the historic feel that it should have.

I've seen so many Flair-Steamboat matches that I'll need an exact date for it, but it's likely really good.

To kinda quote Flair, him and steamboat must've wrestled each other over a thousand times, but I can assume the match in question was from the late 70's when Steamboat was first in the NWA.

I wish. This is a matchlist from a "Rare Flair" comp. There are no dates.

However, it stands to reason that if it happened once and it was ab fab then it probobly was at least really good every time they went at it.

Does anyone else think Lawler/Flair is a DREAM MATCH fro Southern Heels?

I'm pretty sure Flair and Lawler only had one 10-minute draw so I can probably answer that question. The work itself is ok -- it's nothing great and it doesn't hold up well in 2004 at all. However, the mic work and the angle leading to the match was very well done. Flair and Lawler were two of the best talkers in the business (two of the best ever?) at that point and the setup is tremendous. I have it on tape.

I know they had at least one other match against each other at Mid South Coliseum in 1985, but I don't believe it ever made it to TV, and Lawler has expressed disappointment over that match, saying Flair was too much of a routine man.

Flair v Martel I think also only happened once and was a really strong match, although surprisingly, it was Martel who carried the match. I love the faster pace. It's much more state-of-the-art and eciting than a typical HHH match in 2K4, so in that sense, it's worth watching. Martel was determined to have a classic, and I just wish Flair had been more willing to let him call spots.

On that note, either the next night or a couple of nights later, Flair teamed up with Martel against Jumbo and Tenryu in a really strong tag match. Again, Martel carried it. That tour of Japan was probably his career peak.
