Downloading Music

This can be moved to the music section if need be but I am just curious what everyone uses to download music. I don't want Kazaa because that messes things up, Bear Share does not work on my computer because of my firewall and I have WinMX but when I try to search for songs nothing happens. So I am wondering if anyone else knows of any other place where you can download music.

Nevermind I got all the links but WinMX just isn't working for me and I want a program like that rather than one that is basically just the web site that has music let me keep looking though. Oh and I also prefer something that is free.

Try Limewire. I've been using it for a while, and I have yet to get a bad song. I ran Ad Aware after installing it, and it found one piece of spyware, but it was easily removed.

I'd recommend Soulseek. www.slsk.com I think, type it into Google to be sure. No adware or any of that crap. Great for finding rarer types of music that you wouldn't find so easily on Kazaa or the like.

either Soulseek or Ares, I wouldent use Kazaa because it that is what the RIAA are looking at the most.

 

EDIT: Direct connect it also a good 1.

I use soulseek and bittorrent sites. It works very well.

 

My friend uses a thing called C+ Direct Connect. I want to download it, he showed me and ot works GREAT. I don't have any address for it, but I guess it shouldn't be that hard to find.
