Guest acnx Report post Posted August 20, 2004 ESPN.com Obviously, the Bills won't trade him, but if this is true, are they going to take it seriously and give him the job, so that it's his to lose?
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2004 This is crap. It came completely out of nowhere. In order for this to work he'd have had to go from telling local media after the first preseason game that he still wasn't 100 percent and hadn't really been able to open up and try top speed yet...to demanding being the starter 2 days later. KingPK 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2004 I already mentioned this in the offseason thread, but really, we're still not sure if he can survive a full NFL season with that knee of his. Plus, Henry is a perfectly good back for them. Trading Henry (or McGahee) to Miami would be the best way to go, since the Fins are DESPERATE for a back, and would probably give up more than they need to, but I just don't see them trading a very good player to a division rival. But buck up Bills fans, if these two continue to bicker like this and Drew gets put on his ass 6 times a game, you won't have to worry about such trivial things like "winning the division", "making the Wild Card", or even "going 8-8" . (Hey, I'm still a tad bitter over Week 1. Sue me.)
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 20, 2004 And less than a week ago Henry said he wants to be traded if McGahee is named starter. It seems that Buffalo will not be keeping both this season, which I'm sure they were hoping they could. If both really are demanding to be traded if not starting, I predict Henry will be traded. At this point Henry would probably have more value to other teams.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted August 20, 2004 Bleed Miami dry for Mcgahee. Their desperate for a running back and I imagine the Bills could get some good value out of him.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted August 20, 2004 The only way that the Bills trade one of their backs to Miami is if they are able to rape Miami somehow in the trade.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 20, 2004 Perhaps for that DE Miami was trying to trade earlier this offseason and 2 high drafts picks(one this year and one next year). Miami won't give up a raped deal.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted August 21, 2004 Willis McGahee Asks For Trade If Not Named Starter Report Is False The Buffalo Bills have told WGR Sports Radio 550 (a local radio channel in Buffalo) that there is no truth what so ever to the AP story that Willis McGahee wants to be traded if he's not the Bills number one running back. The Bills say they have spoken to McGahee and he told them he has never said that and he doesn't know anything about it.McGahee's agent, Drew Rosenhaus is not commenting leading to speculation that the report may be coming out of South Florida that was misleading. UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2004 McGahee is clearly going to be the starter, IMO.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 21, 2004 If McGahee really didn't ask for a trade, Henry will start this season. McGahee will get alot of playing time, but Buffalo will wait another season before turning the starting job over to McGahee.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted August 21, 2004 so far McGahee's biggest acomplishment is either beating the crap out of the Browns in a scrimmage or walknig without crutches. I'd stick with Henry for this year.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted August 21, 2004 Henry's 4 TDs in that crimmage were so overblown. 3 were 1 yd. runs and the other was a 2 yd.
LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2004 Seriously, how do you bench a guy or trade a guy after back to back 1,400 rushing yard seasons. That would be so fuckin idiotic

MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2004 I'm sure Philly wouldn't mind snagging Henry right about now.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 23, 2004 The injured Philly rb was their backup, but they were hoping for him to be a contributer.
