"Mike Burns resigned as CZW booker last week. The parting, which was said to be amicable, was said a case of Burns tired of dealing with politics and washing his hands on the situation. Burns' Smart Mark Video company will continue to film and produce CZW home videos and DVDs. I haven't heard of someone replacing him, so perhaps Zandig will be taking over the booking. This may lead to the return of some of the names who were often at odds with Burns, such as the Backseat Boyz. One of the knocks on Burns as a booker from some of the wrestlers was that he seemed more interested in bringing outside talent in as opposed to utilizing the local workers who had put more time into the company. Burns was a driving force in the push behind Robby Mireno's Blackout, which has been the best gimmick of late in the company, so it will be interesting to see how their push continues from this point on."

Zandig is the one on bad terms with BSB, not so much Burns, so their return ain't too likely. I like Blackout (which apparently was his idea) a lot. They really have a great gimmick, so hopefully they stick around. I didn't even know Burns helped book, but I don't blame him for gettnig sick of the politics. Zandig's made the locker room into a dementia ward.

While I love Burns for what he's doing with SMV, I have been so uninterested in CZW the last couple of years. Maybe it's for the best.

From what some guys have said, Zandig's not on good terms with most people, ESPECIALLY Rockin Rebel. He and Rebel have patched things up a bit in the last few months (Earlier this year, Rebel was ready to quit CZW), but he still doesn't get along with many of his wrestlers. Greg Matthews, Danny Rose, Kashmere, and a few others left because they didn't want to deal with Zandig's attitude.

Without Rebel, CZW can't run shows at Viking Hall. If he leaves CZW, CZW, leaves Philadelphia. He's the owner of the Philadelphia Athletic Commission wrestling license.

Yup, and ROH. Just for ROH to run at Murphy Rec, they need the Philly Athletic license, and since the RF scandal broke, they've had to go through Rebel in order to convince the state to give them a license, and he keeps demanding match on their cards in return.

And that's why I love Rebel. He's a fucking asshole and has no problem telling you he is.

 

I remember him coming up to me in the middle of a match that Ruckus was involved in fighting one of his boys, and he says to me, "That fuck's already blown up."
