Can Orton Make Friends?

I'm all for the lone wolf version of Orton, only occasionally allying with others in his vendetta against Evolution and using his knowledge of the group against them.

I keep the World Title on Orton until Tuesday Night Titans and book him like HHH in his first run as champ (with the obvious exception of jobbing to Vince) where EVERYBODY wants to annihilate him in what will probably be the return of the Chamber.

Here's my booking idea:

 

All the big faces on Raw hate Orton for everything he's put them through over the past year and shows no sympathy for him.

 

 

 

Everyone but one performer:

 

Eugene.

 

 

That'll go a long way to making something more of the Eugene character beyond his current circus performance and still keep him hot. Admittedly, he'll have to make more friends over time as the angle goes on and the faces warm up to him so as not to look like some sort of a joke by association. But that'll give Orton a tag partner for now while moving Eugene onto something different than "Uncle Eric keeps trying to get him murdered in the ring and he comes back two weeks later ad nauseum."

Like Foley mentioning Mankind being the only face that liked Vince. Taker and Kane broke his ankle, but no one's gonna start feeling sorry for him, but Mankind likes him.

 

Orton gets turfed out of Evo, but no one's gonna feel sorry for him, except for the one guy that just two months ago was friends with HHH (or so he thought).

 

Maybe throw in a bit of Rock n Sock with Orton and Eugene and voila! Probably not the best booking in the world but what the hell?

I don't know if anyone else is getting this kinda vibe...well, let me know what you guys think.

 

Last night after Orton kinda stood up to Trips to only get ran off by Evolution and running through the crowd, I got the DDP vs. nWO vibe from the whole situation. Basically, it seems as if they are going to do what someone else in this thread said and make it seem as if he knows Evolution inside and out. Thus, he will be doing the "whitty trap" thing where he cleaverly fools Evolution to get his ass handed to him about say once a month or so. Thus, fooling Evolution(aka making Triple H look stupid on occasion) will get him babyface big time. Also, I agree with the sentiment of Orton being a loner. At least for the time being that is. They they can align him with someone else sooner or later if need be.

I was at Raw on Monday and after Orton stood up to Trips, the crowd poopped big time, louder than it came across on tv. and during the break as well (sadly I think the crowd was full of marks as everyone booed and thought he would hand over the belt)

 

and yea i also thought it reminded me of the ddp/nwo thing (especially since Randy ran into the crowd and celebrated with them

 

now if only foley would come back again, then youd have a partner (simple, he challenged orton to grow up and be a man as well, and he did, and he beat cactus jack clean in his own style of match, he has to have some respect for him)

 

but then again

 

 

jericho maybe, since he also has the cocky tude as well (despite being a face-and yea edge got booed bigtime at raw too)
