Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 I'm busting out my post-grunge mid 90's sludgy metal and other older cds for nostalgia purposes. Helmet-"Pure" on deck are Prong, Fudge Tunnel, Godflesh, and Bolt Thrower.

Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 So a friend loans me this new cd by a metal band called "Winter Solstice." Gayer than fuck. Swedey speed picking and chugs, plus this song's like six minutes long when it should've been a little over 2.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Frank Zappa-"Sofa #1" So I've finally heard One Size Fits All and liked it more than I thought I would. I tend to like him best when he's erratic, and this, outside of maybe Zoot Allures is the most song-oriented I've heard Zappa. Pretty much straightforward 70's rock and pop with a few weird quirks. I'd heard live versions of all the songs on the record previously though. Were I not already introduced to the tracks, I doubt I'd have cared for it so much.
