Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted May 2, 2003 Acid Bath - Toubabo Koomi ... Wow. Just....wow. If you dig this, there's a good chance you might get into one of the bands that spawned from Acid Bath after bassist Audie Petrie died. Lead singer Dax Riggs formed Agents of Oblivion, (~!), and guitarist Sammy Pierre Duet formed Goatwhore, which happens to be the only American black metal band worth a shit. Agents is basically taking the Acid Bath track "Scream of The Butterfly" and making a whole album like it. Required tracks to get, if you haven't already: "The Blue" "Tranquilized" "Cheap Vodka" "Jezebel" "Scream of the Butterfly" "Dr. Seuss is Dead" (Their best track, IMO) "God Machine" "What Color is Death?" "The Bones of Baby Dolls" "New Death Sensation" If you decide to grab one of their two albums, go with When the Kite String Pops. The follow up, Paegan Terrorism Tactics, is a little more focused and heavy, but it's not as utterly awesome and perfect as the first release.

Guest caboose Report post Posted May 6, 2003 Linkin Park - Meteora. Mini Rant: What the fuck is this album? It's five minutes shorter than Hybrid Theory, it has three tracks that are indistinguishable from each other. And 2/3 of it sound like tracks from Hybrid Theory. Fuck Linkin Park. Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted May 6, 2003 Sad Monsters - Sempervirens Local band... pretty spacy, a couple pressing errors on the CD-R, but pretty good shit overall. Their description from their website: well, we're a band. we live in santa cruz, california. we play big, spacey, noisy, explosive, lovely, warm, rock music. often times it is instrumental but sometimes we sing. recorded, we are just two people, nicky and aaron. we get a few more to help us live. we want to be your friend.
